    Army's Paeon > Army's Paean

A paeon is a metrical foot in classical text with 3 short syllables and 1 long.
A paean is a hymn or song of triumph.

The latter word suggests itself for a bard song.

It was Army's Paeon in FFXI though, as well, I believe.

The name itself could be a play on words though, which is why it is what it is. Paeans are composed of paeons, and paeon referencing each measure (foot) could be taken as a literal foot, so we would end up with a reference to an army moving by foot (marching).

I know I'm stretching a bit here with the meaning, but who knows.
