Additional question:
Do these dungeons come with the difficulty setting system from leves? or is it just as is?

I think the level cap was one of the best features of FFXI. It allowed for a more challenging experience everytime you went to help friend with missions after. The fact that they made the gears adjusting themselves to your level solved the inventory issue but also in FFXIV you can wear gears even if you are not the optimal rank for it. You can argue that the stats were messed up when deleved but that doesn't mean it cannot be fixed/improved for FFXIV.I think they learned their lesson from capping shit in CoP.
Even with the ability to equip gear at any level really in this game, people will still lug around a bazillion different gear sets, which then will induce community wide bitching that they don't have enough inventory space for it all.
Honestly if you don't put level cap then the content will be old a week after, and I am generous, and the level 25-30 dungeon will just be a lolfaceroll fest and really no one will experience it in a challenging way. This game NEEDS cap on mission and dungeons and events like this because it just allows for strategies to be formed and creates a challenge everytime you go. Out-leveling the content to snooze through it is NOT a strategy and should not be rewarded, there is no feel of accomplishement when you go through content that was 1shoted by your level 50 friends.
Agreed. How many people will actually form a light party of R25-30's to go through Toto-Rak?
None. It'll be one R50 thaumaturge steamrolling through it for all his friends' R25 alts.
Exactly, why some do not see that a bad thing I don't understand, it's like everyone just wants easy things and get rewards handed to them with no effort. It's beyond me.
endgame content isnt the only kind of content thats why its not a bad thing
yes some people will roll through it on their capped characters
but when doesnt that happen in most MMOs?
however, the people who want to do this, who dont have capped characters will love it
the game isnt all about capped endgame people, and if they didnt add this 30 dungeon, youd have the other end of the spectrum yelling that there is no mid game content

Does it really matter if R50s are steamrolling the R30 Dungeon? I don't see how that is getting rewards handed to them with no effort. R50s have made the effort to get to 50 as it is, is that not enough?
That's what I fear. A great method to make challenging content for all level ranges down the drain.
The r30 dungeon will be a joke if no such limitation exists.
What I'm most interested in knowing is whether it will be randomized and how much if so.
whats the point if you can just get your high level buddy to beat it while you afk in the corner though. I mean ideally they wont do it that much because they wont have use for the rewards probably, but judging by the mid level NMs, high level smashing will continue to be the technique of choice, no matter what the reward is,endgame content isnt the only kind of content thats why its not a bad thing

might be interesting if it scaled to the highest level player.... that could be a good solution i think
