5 hour emergency maintenance with 10 minutes notice...

They don't just do this because it's fun.

Even Emergency Maintenances are supposed to be announced an hour or so before the said time, not 15 minutes.

One could assume it's related to the recent patch last night. For an emergency maintenance to crop up just hours later, something bad probably broke, meaning game breaking usually.

Honestly, I'd rather be inconvenienced for a bit than have to find out what was needing be fixed the hard way. Further, not sure if anyone else has noticed, but since the PS4 Beta launch things have been slowing down, lag here and there. I can only guess how bad it's going to get when all those PS4 players join us on the main servers. All this maintenance could well be them shoring up the servers for that eventuality to keep a repeat of post Early Access from happening.

Must be something kinda serious for such a sudden maintenance, even with normal emergency maintenance they give us a decent amount of notice, correct me if I'm wrong, but the last time they did it this sudden was when they found out people hacking the markets. If they could have held the maintenance until tomorrow they would have done.

Are 20-30 people from your FC leaving every week ? One hell of a big FC that must be....

Also, this can't be the reason for people leaving.... Maybe you're in a timezone with more maintenance at peak times, but I haven't had much problem with it so far. The last couple of weeks have been worse than before, and this one today is really annoying, but it's a game.... If you leave because you couldn't play for a couple of hours, then it's because of other reasons.

Might have been a super Critical bug that showed up during patching last night that could have caused a security issues...

Example: The market wards scandal that happen 1 or 2 months ago that they issued a EM with a 10 minute notice.
