They don't just do this because it's fun.

Even Emergency Maintenances are supposed to be announced an hour or so before the said time, not 15 minutes.

Might have been a super Critical bug that showed up during patching last night that could have caused a security issues...

Example: The market wards scandal that happen 1 or 2 months ago that they issued a EM with a 10 minute notice.

You do? Last time I check, this is the only MMO that announces a maintenance with a timeframe like that. Heard of the word "professionalism"?

Well, probably the bug they found will cause destruction to Eorzea for them to actually do this. How I wish they announced what actually happened in the first place.

There are numerous reasons for them having this sudden maintenance, if someone was found hacking the servers, they would have to be shut down immediately or even a serious game-breaking bug was found, or perhaps someone has been found massively exploiting something which will affect game balance. It's obvious this is a very serious issue to push maintenance this suddenly. If they could have waited and given notice they would have done (like they always do).

They have put up the maint. notice like 5+ Hr before maint. i got home at 6 PM PST and they already post the miant notice on the launcher before i log onto the game.. also i remember I saw notice at 10 PM. not sure where you getting theses 15 min only notice...

We are all in game playing.... the notice came late.
