I would LOVE for the South or West to have Poroggo (from XI) and Qu (Quina's race, if that's the correct name, from IX) battling each other in a war of gourmet goodness! I'd play a He/she in a heartbeat! /cook

I think i'm the only person who doesn't like this race...at all, i really don't know why..they just don't appeal to me...and i play a kitty Miqote which playing that furry race you would think it would appeal to me.

Nope, you're not the only one. Viera look weird to me with those long big ears on a human head. Maybe its the placement of the ears on the head, but it looks odd.

Yes please. I'd actually roll both a female and a male Viera if they looked like that. As it stands now, I'm not really fond of how female miqo'te faces are built. (Plus since viera have no tails, we won't have more dead pipecleaners attached to our rear ends)

Ick, I certainly hope not. That'd be like taking Lightning and turning her into a permanent presence in Eorzea. FFXIV should be FFXIV, not "an opportunity to parade around the most desirable characters of our other ~totally imaginative and not at all self-referencing~ games".

Let's see something new! The possibilities are quite literally endless.

It would be most likely (and only natural) that the Padjal are going to be playable. After all, body-wise they're Hyurs, so it wouldnt take a lot, or -any- coding to have armor fit on them and such.

I think this would be even more of a cop-out than those bunny people...

Introducing any new races would require heavy explanation of where they came from, why Eorzea is somehow allowing this new race of people to march through its lands completely unchecked, and why members of this new race would be willing to fight under the Eorzean banner against Garlemald.

That's what story-telling is for. There are people who make a living doing that. They are called writers! I say give them a chance to be creative for once, instead of relying on re-used FF assets. Also, there are at least two other continents on Eorzea we know nothing about.
