I actually really appreciate the new indicators. As a tank, they are much easier to see especially if the enemy is sumberged in water. The old indicator was sometimes too hard to see under certain circumstances.

I really like the new indicators mainly for the fact that I CAN NOW SEE THE AOEs in Water-logged zones (Brayflox, Guildhests, etc).
The new ones are really hard to see in certain situations too. Purple Poison? Yep, good luck with seeing the indicator there. Atleast the red one stood out in it.
I really hate it too. I can understand it's for colorblind people, but there's no need to basicly screw everyone who isnt colorblind over with such an unwarranted change. I'm not saying to take it away, but atleast give us the OPTION of having the old ones back. My game looks more like a space-laser-opera with it than anything worthwhile. It's the little things that push people more and more away from enjoying this.
Give us the NOT-ANOYING static red ones back with an option at the very least :/
Why they wouldnt have made the yellow ones an option instead while keeping the red ones as default is beyond me, really...
They should allow us to change the color.
I have no issue with the new AOE markers, in fact, I like them better.
The bright orange stands out, i like it. Also a bit soft on the eyes.
Tho i like the new changes, the pulses have no real benefit. Those patterns don't mean anything... for example, the tornado indicators is a ripple pattern from center, if it made sense, it would be a tornado that starts out in center and grows outwards, but that is not the case with the actual technique.

Goodbye, Final Fantasy...
I like it, a great feature. A lot more people are dodging now and not getting killed by stupid AoE. I'm glad it's here. now "Ready Check" in CT is a completely different story...
This thread is one of those examples that people will complain about literally everything in the game.
I love the new indicators, especially for tanking. It makes a huge difference on Caduceus and ADS for example, and it's obviously helping since melee pugs we've had in our groups are dying far less than they used to.
I'm annoyed by the new ones as well. They're not terrible or anything, but I prefer the red ones. Sometimes the color of the marker is close enough the the color of the landscape that it doesn't urge me to move immediately, and the pulsing the way it is now makes me unsure of the timing. I think the pulsing is a great idea if it starts either at the center or at the mob (depending on the attack) and reaches the edge at the end of the cast. If that were the case the ground marks would convey more useful information. The way it is now it tricks my brain into thinking the pulses relate to something, but they don't. In any case, an option to toggle between styles would be nice. Hell, while they're at it why not just have an array of colors we could choose form? I'm sure there are some people who would prefer blue, purple, orange, etc. Changing the color shouldn't be much of an issue and it would be a nice QoL addition.
I agree with thus other thread, this new change should be optional or give us the ability to change it's color our selves.
