The content don't speak up. They have no reason to. Nothing is wrong, nothing needs be changed. Why talk about it?

In any case, for this issue, I hold the opinion that it would be nice to have the option to change the color of AoE space.

The aoe is fine in small instances but in ct its a total migraine. A simple toggle to turn the pulse on/off would suffice.

I like the new indicator. Very often will I be having my camera facing a way from the main boss. Having it yellow and shooting out a wave will catch my eye (cause its yellow) quicker than red and notifies me where the direction the AoE comes from.

I can't figure out why they changed the AOE indicators at all. The old ones were fine. The new ones manage to be both distracting and difficult to see in many situations. PLEASE, bring back the nice red indicator - or give us an option for it.

Colour blind. And the bad is suppose to draw your attention....yet to find a situation that it's hard too see. You do? Maybe you're a bit colour blind and should respect the change. An option seems reasonable.

I really like the pulsing. It makes noticing the circles much easier. Especially when playing a healer were your eyes may be on the party list when an AOE hits. Personally, I'd rather them change the color to more of a bright red, but the pulsing is an improvement, IMO.

I'm going to need you to try that one again, in English.

To be clear, annoying and obnoxious I can deal with. My main issue is that the timing of the pulsing is completely inconsistent and conflicting with the actual spell cast. This creates meaningful* timing problems with stepping back into the area.

*Meaningful for mDPS and tanks that are or try to be good at the game.

    Edit:

That said, yellow is still a problem because there are a lot of ground textures in the game that are a yellow-brown shade. Don't know why they don't go with some magenta or high saturation green if they're trying so hard to make circles more obvious than they already are.

    Edit2:

In Wildstar you can choose the color of telegraphs / "circles on the ground". This is a simple and good option for players to avoid half of this discussion.

Not that I've given it a whole lot of thought, but I'm not sure what you could do with the pulses that would both allow for a meaningful sort of timing and still induce epilepsy (that was the idea, right?) For some of the longer casts the pulse would be moving so slowly it'd be pointless.

It seems like most relevant casts in this game will pulse 1.5 - 2.5 times before the spell goes off. As long as there is any sort of motion in the highlighted circle at all, players who need the game to scream in their face should be satisfied from a visual cue perspective (the difference between a static circle and a circle that strobes is huge, but the difference between a faster and slower strobe is not significant).

However, if SE makes the strobe sync with the spellcast so that it is exactly 1.0 pulse, then it will make the indicator very clean, and also improve timing by allowing players to see more precisely when the spell is done casting.
