Gutted about the lacklustre quality of the PS4 beta

Um... whats wrong with the PS4? Its a port of a game ... its not going to be improved or drastically, specially over PC's. It runs at pretty much the same performance as my PC which is near max. FPS may not be perfect but its WAY better than PS3. It looks great, it responds smoothly, 'mouse scroll' thing with the DS4 worked pretty well too (though I wish it would "click" when I pressed down on it), even the remote play wasnt nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I may be playing on PS4 more often than I originally thought I would! They should make a Vent or at least Mumble app for PS4.

Other than a few UI elements like text size (impossible to read on Vita BTW) the game runs great. They shouldve just skipped PS3 IMO.

I am a high end PC gamer. I do own a PS4 but hardly game on consoles.

Honestly, I am surprised how good the PS4 version looks.

I can't imagine why anyone would own a console newer then the PS2. PC > PS2 > everything else.

Because the PS3 and XBox360 have some great games on them too and consoles will always have the convenience of easy setup?

I honestly thought it looked great. Comparable to my lap top version for sure.

Crisp & clean, miles ahead of my PS3 version. I for one am looking forward to using my main character on PS4.

Really, i was never expecting it to blow the PC away. Just somewhat on equal footing.

Remember the PC version is THREE YEARS old. Three YEARS. The PS4 version is not even one year old yet (since the start of development). Why should it not be on par with the PC version, if not surpass it?

1. The PC Version is not 3 years old. It is not even 1 year yet. The PC version was hastily put together in about a year and just officially released on August 2012. The 1.0 version does not count as that version was tossed out some time ago.

2. It is definitely too early to compare, as the difference between Alpha and Final release with graphics quality was quite noticeable.

3. Pcs over the last year have improved (faster processors, etc).

4. The PS4 will be somewhat close to the PC with a few items different. It still looks quite nice and is quite playable. The PS4 will get consistent results for most people.

It is hard to take your complaint seriously, when you complain about it not being as good in some areas as PC without giving details as to what you mean by sub par. It almost looks like you ran out of major items to complain about and figured the PS4 would be a nice target since it is new.
