Chocobo leveling could use some adjustment

Ok so I joined a chocobo leveling party. There really is only 1 good spot in the whole game for leveling chocobos the to the east in quarrymill with the water elementals and bug looking guys.

We had 4 people war, blm blm whm and 4 chocobos. Grinded mobs for 1 hour. My chocobo is rank 7 and I got 80k exp and I need 700k to level. It was like I was playing old school FFXI with this leveling rate.

The TNL gets a lot higher at ranks 8 and 9.

I think you need to lower the amount of EXP chocobos need or buff the amount of exp monsters give chocobos. Currently its a very huge grind to level them and its not all that fun since your grinding the same mobs over and over again.

Leveling in a party significantly cuts your exp. Solo it. Additionally trying to grind your Chocobo levels specifically for the suit is ridiculous. Take your time. You didn't sit down in 1 hour and grind clear to 50 did you? No, the expectation that 1 hour of grinding will level your Chocobo is just beyond ridiculous to me. If anything they need to increase the amount of exp you need to level the Chocobo, so having the suit actually means something, instead of everyone having it, like the Magitek Armor mount, it becomes useless as a novelty and no one uses it.

No no. To fix the overpopulated lv50 Chocobo exp camp is not lowering the needed exp, but putting more lv50 Chocobo exp camps ingame. With enemies at level 51 (only you and your chocobo) - 55 (with other people leveling their chocobos).

At the place the OP mentioned doing it in a party is better. There are level 50 enemies (the only lv 50 enemies outside of leves in the whole open-world). If you kill them fast you get kill-chain bonus on your exp. In a party to hold the kill-chain intact is much easier than solo. Kill-Chain 4 is the highest I can get solo and then the time ran out and I start with no kill-chain again.

The best way of getting experience is to solo. You need a party to tag all the mobs, then you spam AOE when they're all being tagged by another party.

As long you did 33% of the mob's health, you will get 20%+ more than you normally would in party.

And places like Lunatic Follower, and Ixali in Coerthas are also good places to grind at.
