    [Suggestion] The new animation/indicator for ground AoEs feels like a missed opportu

    EDIT: Ack, the title got cut off. That's what I get for copy/pasting from Reddit. I'm sure you can infer the rest (EG: Opportunity.)

    I was hesitant about them at first, but I've come to like the new indicators more. But looking at them, it feels like they wasted so much potential for a really simple change. When I first saw screenshots of them before I had played the patch myself, I thought they were going to work, where the inner 'pulse' of the AoE was synced up with the cast time of the mob. This would be incredibly intuitive and add a much easier way of 'checking' cast times. Instead, the pulse is completely irrespective of the cast time.

    Pulse is at about 4/5, despite cast being halfway. Wouldn't it be nice if that pulse was at halfway, synced up to the cast?

    I realize this could be confusing, particularly as there are times where the server and client aren't synced up 100%, so the 'pulse' would be off, or would move backward, but I would personally love to see this implemented.

    I think they suck... You don't think they suck, try going to aleport and run some fates... You can't even see the attack bar because it blends in so nicely with the ground... Who's Idea was it to change the color anyways...

    This was exactly what I'd had in mind when I first saw screenshots of this feature. Once I got in game and saw that it has no relation to the cast time of the attack I was rather disappointed. Wildstar's telegraphs match the ability cast times and it's really great.

    The color was changed to make it more red-green colorblind friendly. It doesn't bother me, personally, but I can see how there may be visibility issues in some areas. However, what you're experiencing now in sandy areas is similar to what R/G colorblind people used to experience in grassy areas.

    There isn't much of a way around this so really they should just allow the color to be changed in a menu like they do with the rest of the UI.

    When I experienced this change in game, I thought it WAS the cast bar timer! But I guess it's not. I would personally like to see this change, as a healer it would help out immensely as the majority of my time is spent looking at the positioning, calculating where potential damage is going to strike, and getting set up accordingly to deal with the damage being given, this would allow me to easily see when an AOE is about to pop while being able to keep my eye on the battle field instead of the party list. This would also help out with multiple targets AOE as you can only Focus Target 1 at a time.

    SE please consider this change! It's a great idea to have the pulse, but it could be more functional if given a use instead of used as merely eye candy. <3

    I wish we could tone the brightness of the animation down.. it's too much of an eye sore. something like ultimas green laser indicator is fine.

    Good idea. I initially thought the pulses would be synced as well, and was disappointed that they weren't.
