If they continue in this direction for the foreseeable future, it would be interesting to keep a time lapse folder of Revenant's Toll, and have pictures of RT's growth from a small camp into a bustling city.

SE gave us ropes to climb! Give me more!!!
Mor Dhona today bears little resemblance to that in V1, visually or atmospherically .. V2 is way inferior on both counts IMO. In V1 there were two Aerthyte camps which were no more than a tent or two, a handful of NPCs and the crystal.
I find the concept of a 'level 50 congregating area', along the line of Jeuno, somewhat amusing. In FFXI Jeuno was the original main city largely because that's where most 'party shouts' were done, especially for end-game (but also leveling too), and in FFXIV V1 Ul'dah took on that role on most (all?) servers.
However, with the advent of DF and PF such a 'watering hole' is pretty superfluous, you can sit in an inn and still get groups. As I see it, all Revanent's Toll is used for is level 50s posing in their phat lewt on their stupidly large mounts trying (and failing) to look impressive.
If they end up being new classes and Guilds that would be cool in such a big way the way SE is doing this is amazing really never seen an MMORPG do this before. Bring on the next update and quickly lol.Well the change is because of the current Storyline and Lore of Revenants Toll.
It is slowly being built into the new base of operations for the Scions and will continue to due so until the base is complete by the 1st expansion
We are to expect new buildings as the game gets closer to the 1st expansion and the size of the complete Revenant Toll is unknown. It may even expand big to be a new City or small town and some of those new buildings may even be New Class Guilds.
If they are building things up for the next patch and through the future, I can see Revenant's Toll being the 'stepping stone' to newer areas in expansions, so it's likely to be a 'crossroads' of sorts for new things, maybe classes and abilities etc.
If it does become a small town/city, it'll be the closest currently 'accessible' hub to the closed off city-state of Ishgard, as well as the northwest city-state Sharlayan and its surrounding region Dravania, which seems to be the most likely area for the first/second expansion.
BTW there are new quests since 2 month with new fights, such as EX primals and crystal tower, HM copperbell and Haukke, Pharos Sirius, and also new story quests that lead you to this bar.
And with PF Mor dhona became a ghost town compared to what it was before.
Ok I didn't have a chance to log in yesterday so work with me on this.
Moh Dhona got bigger with the patch? As in, more stuff got added? Am I reading this thread correctly?
No it didn't - the zone of Mor Dhona itself is still the same. The only thing that has been changed is Revenant's Toll has had some changes made to it, which are mostly cosmetic (more buildings have been added, many of which are still shown with scaffolding, trees and landscaping abound, complete with park benches, and even the vegetable garden that was formerly there is now replaced by a paved area that is still being tiled by workmen. And npcs in that city have been relocated too.
It's clear SE will continue to expand the town to become a real crossroads in Eorzea, so it's interesting to what more Yoshi-P's team has up their sleeves.![]()

Well if they follow the setup of expanding Revenant Toll per major update we should see the place becoming larger over time.
For what purpose SE has planned other than being the new base of operations fo the Scrions we will have to wait and see as they expand the place the closer we get to the 1st expansion.
if you look to the side of the mender, by where they put the bells up, you can clearly see that a market is about to show up. I'm wondering if MorDhona is about to have the potential of becoming a city state.
