    How is that being lazy? It makes no sense. In fact, it's almost the opposite of lazy in that you can continue to perform actions and attacks and then move before you're about to be hit (which is what I was doing in the red AoE fields, and would continue to do)
    It's lazy because instead of learning about enemy attacks you're being spoon fed how they work by a giant countdown.

    It's already bad enough that people don't have to do something horrible like actually learn the range and shape of enemy attacks. They should manage figuring out how long they can risk standing around on their own.

    I'd love it if you could customize the color to any you'd like to make it a color that's easier for each of us to see as we wish. The ground in some boss fights really clashes with the color of the AoE. Would be nice if for say, Titan, we could change it to a bright blue, or something. Twintania could be a bright green.

    Not everybody wants to memorize every single aspect of every single fight. Maybe you're okay doing that, but not everyone is. That doesn't mean those people should be penalized. As it stands, the current AoE attack indicator is just random pulsing that's nonsensical. Having it be in sync with the cast timer would actually allow us all to play more strategically.

    Or you could actually look at the cast bar on the mob. the only people who wouldnt be able to do that are healers, and 99% of aoe in this game has a shorter cast time than a heal spell that isnt instant and should move as soon as the red pops up.

    That isn't playing strategically. That's like playing computer chess and hitting the hint button every single turn. You're not learning how to play and devising your own strategy, you're letting the system dictate how you move rather than relying on your own common sense and intuition.

    Healers can keep the boss on focus or on their primary target and use mouse over macros. So they are not given a free pass to stand in aoes just because they are healing.

    The pulse is there to improve visibility for people with colour-blindness. Making it slower and hence harder to notice is going to kinda defeat the point of having it.

    I wasnt aware of that (and my main is whm) but nowhere did I say it was ok for them to stand in aoe, In fact I said the opposite.
