Extremely slow patch d/l

Must just be the load on the servers at the time of downloading the patch, I normally get around 6-6.5mb/s down but earlier when downloading the patch it wouldn't go above 0.61mb/s :P

this... I just pulled it down at just under 17Mb/s (1.93Megabytes/sec)... took something like 14 minutes. It looked like I was pulling from a RR IP though, which was odd. Unfortunately, I didn't get to check it until just as the download ended, so not sure if that idle conx was the one I actually pulled from. Went to take a piss, came back and it was unpacking the patch already. Will have to monitor it more closely next time. Would be awesome for the US players if they in fact are mirroring it on some US based servers now... provided people are able to hit a good mirror site.

There may in fact be something going on with my ISP and SE now though... I re-logged into the game and watched the connections along the way, and I saw the SE executables hit new IP in the process that wasn't there before. It was a RR/TWC IP in the Massachusetts area, registered under a RR affiliate up there. Perhaps they actually have been working with our ISP's after all to try to remedy some of the congestion issues.

Now, if I could just get TWC to fix their freaking networks... just got some really bad response times from my first gateway: 10ms jitter at the first hop past my modem. Not a good sign. This is where my problems have been the last 6 or 7 weeks... at 98.25.64.1, smack dab in the heart of TWC's residential network. Will just have to see how the game responds tonight, and open yet another ticket with Time Warner if it again is crapping out on their IP's.

I'm not so sure it has anything to do with the time at which I'm trying to d/l the patch. I haven't played since right before the lightning event went up and, for the last four days I've been trying to d/l the patch i've been getting anywhere from .08 to .36 mb/s Seriously starting to get a little aggitated. I usually only take 1 day off a week and, was really hoping I'd actually be able to play the game on my day off rather than having to sit through a 20 hr d/l while watching Dexter on netflix..

Pretty sure it's not on my end either since I can stream fine and when I redownloaded the client the other day after reformatting my HD it finished in less than 30 minutes.
