Unfortunately, having the feature disabled during battle seems like common sense, which Square Enix doesn't seem to have a whole lot of. Why do we need to check if people are ready when we are already engaged with the enemy?
Extra code to disable it at any given time. If you dont think people will use it mid battle, why take the extra time to disable it?
Yup, thats basically what I meant lol. Was just trying to avoid the defensive replies from those who cant take generalizations for what they are.
Its funny reading how people blame SE for not presuming western players to be so pathetic as to ruin a useful tool like that by acting like chimps with ADD.
"You didnt think we're idiots! Way to suck!"

I know where you're coming from, but they've already disabled votekick and vote abandon during battle. I don't see how it would've killed them to do the same for RC.
this
the player base is always trying to find ways to annoy the hell out of others, is the company (SE in this game) the only 1 that can mitigate that to the min.
Vote kick / Ready check/ ect all have been released in bare bones , will get fixed eventually? no doubt, but is sad that SE didnt see that 1 coming.

Thats a fair point, but those actions would be far more open to abuse by people who ware running with a group that isnt full in the duty finder. Kick the guy who isnt in your guild at the last second so if your gear drops its all yours. a ready check during fights is nothing more than irritating.
and this is only the first day , imagine how it will be when more trolls learn from each other and spread it like a virus![]()
Nobody spams ready check in wow because the game tells you who is starting ready checks. If people in FFXIV are using it to troll then they just need to add a line that says "X player" has started a ready check" That way people have accountability for using the feature. People using the feature to troll could be vote kicked.
yes , at this point any solution is welcome i guess.. the simpler, the fasterNobody spams ready check in wow because the game tells you who is starting ready checks.
