If its anything like the World of Warcraft Figureprints, they won't be cheap...expect to pay $100+ for a full body figure. Mine ended up costing about $150 after shipping.

So yeah, it can be a bit pricey...but then again, I don't own a 3D printer either. Selling blueprints to make these at home yourself might become more feasible once the cost of 3D printers goes down to the point that the general public can afford them.

Something like this, even unpainted would be cool too.... though I'd pay very well for a custom paint job since I'm half blind in RL and could never do it myself.

Right, because you've held one/seen one in person and can tell just from the picture....

Unlike you, I'll reserve judgement until I can see/touch the finished product since its a better option than scouring prepackaged figures for one thats "close" to what I want.

Why not just do it yourself? There are online 3D printing services, and I'm aware of people in other gaming communities doing exactly that.

The trick is getting your character model, in the outfit & pose you want into a 3D app to output it to the proper format the 3D printer or CNC machine will use. Having done some CNC stuff in the past I can tell you right now, it ain't remotely cheap to pay someone with a machine to do something of any notable size for you. You're looking at $300+ most likely.

Does anyone know how to get XIV dats into a workable format for makerbot? My friend just got a 3d printer and I'm herp-derping around online trying to figure out if I can get the XIV models to print. [for personal use of course]

I too would absolutely pay and pay well for Aphrini, she and I have a very long story since we have been a team since FFXI NA launch a decade ago and no FFXIV. Aphrini is no longer just a character I play she is her own person and I would adore, absolutely adore the ability to have a statue of some kind of a character I have dedicated so much of my life to. Please SE make this happen, your customers all want this and let's face it you guys are geeks too and I KNOW you would love to see your character in your collection.
