Anyone else get shafted on the recruitment video contest?

Hi there, very nice video.

a couple things, as was noted the 10 was the upper limit. not what they would enforce.

Also was the music from the game?

And the pvp may have been considered using members outside your guild for the video.

Only things I can think of that are worth considering.

I wasn't trying to be anything but realistic. I personally didn't watch any of the vids and you may think you got robbed, but expecting a trophy just for participating is just not realistic and something this new generation needs to get used to. Cause that's how things work in the real world. Not being harsh and not trying to be a jerk cause you may have a fantastic video. But I mean, welcome to life man. Not everything is fair.

The rules linked in the OP here doesn't seem to guarantee 10 winners from each server. It says "up to" 10, meaning anywhere from 1 to 10, and before that it even says "- At least one winner will be selected from each World."

Given the rules plainly allow for them to only choose 1 winner per server, not 10; I'm not seeing the logic that only having 4 FC's participate should mean all 4 should win by default.

The comment about "trying to join the FC's they were totally sold on" seems like it was simply made in passing as a joke, or at the most, they tried to join the ones they decided on for the fun of it. It's still a bit of a leap to take that and get "we picked the ones that let us in!" from it.

If they said a minimum of one and only one entered then that is fair because they went by their own rules. However just because a second submitted a video does not automatically mean they should get a win just to be fair when the rules stated a minimum of 1 and a max of 10. Therefore, yes, I am correct.

Guys, I think the comment about them 'trying to join the FC' is a joke. As in... "We loved the video so much, we were sold on joining the FC and wanted them to recruit us!" I don't actually think they actually tried to join... unless someone can prove this.

About the "ten entries per server" comment... that was probably regarding how many entries COULD be chosen from one particular server (basically a failsafe in case a bunch of really awesome entries came from one server). I'm sorry you didn't win, and also that the contests are kind of vague... but I don't think you were shafted.

I noticed you have a few seconds of your video showing a page of a website I assumed it is your FC's, according to the contest rules it says "Please use only in-game footage". I'm not sure if this rules actually applies as your website but who knows it could be the reason to your disqualification?

Also, if you don't mind I would like to ask where you got the music from? It sounds a bit like Ultima battle except without the background vocals. By any chance do you happened to have altered the music? I couldn't find the soundtrack anywhere else.

I understand your frustration of not winning but you might want to check again where it went wrong in the video.

That's a bit of a stretch, considering a number of the videos contain stills with the FC's name, description, etc., all of which are obviously not in the game. If you're referring to simply having the url in the video at all as disqualifying, I've checked and a number of the winners include their url. What also was frustrating was the fact that Excalibur and Hyperion both submitted 10 videos; Hyperion had 9 winners while Excalibur only had 5.

Methinks the devs put the names in a hat and drew from there to determine the winners (please note this is sarcasm)...
