I'll never understand the rush arguments, I guess some people aren't really aware the previous version was up for almost 3 years and progress carried over or that the game was actually designed to rush everyone to 50, I'd be glad to slow down and enjoy other aspects of the game if there actually were some. There's little to no exploration, sure you can map everything but after you're done there's really nothing that makes it worth revisiting interesting places like say Spriggan's Dig or The Fury's Gaze. Crafting is pretty much useless until endgame too and even then the gear stops at ilv 70 and it's just filler while you get your CT/Primal/Coil drop that's relatively easier to get because it doesn't require mats or leveling a crafting class or materia, although it is convenient having them leveled if only to repair your own stuff anywhere or to make some money in the crashed markets. Housing might be more accessible now but small houses aren't really worth it at all and some are still saving for a medium or even a large but there's also that I guess. You could also do treasure maps and fill your inventory with somewhat useless mats or SB aetherial gear and some pocket change or do dailies that are horribly designed and not really rewarding at all except for the story and cutscenes which are nice but there's that too especially if you like collecting minions and mounts. I mean graphics are ok too so I guess if you only like looking at them and think that's content then go ahead.

Point is there aren't really enough side activities to "do other stuff and stop rushing" other than the main game which just boils down to dungeons and trials/primals that are already invalidated and even more will be once 2.2 hits thanks to vertical gear design.
