I find most of the answers you got rather disheartening. I respect the opinions, and even more the feelings, expressed, but I know many of those people will never get satisfaction in this game, or any other. They simply want too much. The infinite game with content endlessly renewing itself each day will never exist. Nor auto-generating ever harder dungeons and raids, with phatter and phatter loot. :P

I am not saying that this game is perfect, there is A LOT of things I'd change if I could (like adding mountain climbs and sea swims, adding open world dungeons, nuking all darn primals once and for all, and switching to client-based evaluation of position). But this blanket QQ about almost everything takes away even my desire to list the things I'd change. To what avail?

On the brighter side, whenever I log in the game the sense of doom and gloom I get in the forum completely vanishes, and I find myself running around in the breathtakingly beautiful world of Eorzea, surrounded by lots of other players who seem to enjoy the game just like I do, and probably post less on the forum. Maybe (maybe) most of the complainers will go, but as long as there will be enough players "of the old school" (of any age!), still able to look around and appreciate things, to support the development of the game, it will be good enough for me.

I wouldn't say most people want "too much", but rather, they want something that has weight. Nothing at the moment has any weight, coupled with the fact things get obsolete within a short period of time (short in the sense for MMOs). It's very clear the devs are looking at quantity over quality of content, trying to uphold their promise to pump out more and more content. But to most that voice out their concerns in topics like this one, these people are probably fine with having maybe 3-4 decent raids that have long-term goals and more "umph" to it.

The devs are actually doing very well to meet their theme park style MMO. There's tons of rides, none of which last though.

Pretty much.

Primals: HM - EXTREME - ADD MORE
Dungeons - Normal - HM - Obsolete gear, no need to run for myths/philos since you get cap by just doing Coil and some CT.
Coil- Just boss fights, no interesting trash mobs like other mmos. Add more turns.

There's really a lack of creativeness in order to pump out content.
