Patch 2.2 Preparation? What have you been doing to prepare?

Q: Are there any plans to improve the in-game economy?

The item level cap will increase in patch 2.2, and a vast number of items will be added along with high-level crafting recipes. With advanced materia melding, it would be quicker to outfit oneself with gear from the market, giving crafters an opportunity to make money and revitalize the market. A host of new crafting materials will also be added, so you'll want to keep an eye out.

Updates will continually introduce new items and materials for use by both battle and crafting classes, and we believe economic conditions will vary greatly when new patches are implemented. The first wave of this change will come in patch 2.2, so please keep an eye out for this.

I'll do what I always do. Nothing.

But once 2.2 comes out I'll start swearing like a sailor as I see that item I've been selling loads of is now selling for 10 times that amount.

Ha! I'm debating if I should focus on farming a ton of Clusters. I know I have to max out my Materia melds for my crafting gear but this costs so much, focusing primarily I think on Goldsmith and Leatherworker. :P

1. Need to finish leveling my MINER to 50 and harvest a crap load of Clusters of all types...they are going to be worth a fortune.
2. Need to make more money some how to "BLING OUT" my LWK with Materia IV in every slot...damn it is so expensive. I may have to start Spirit Bonded gear and hoping for the best.
3. With 2.2 coming I need to hurry and do the Hildibrand Quest...totally forgot to do that.
4. Need to get BC Coil all beat. Currently at T4 but have not attempted T4 yet...got to get it done.
5. Get my Bard from iLv87 to iLv90 and get my WHM from iLv82 to iLv90

I completely forgot about this bit of information!

Looking ahead to Patch 2.2, crafters will be able to alter gear designs using a “template” system (official name TBD), giving them yet another role in creating desirable gear. Rest assured that we will not sit idly by as crafters go neglected.
