Brayflox is quite a bit more trying to heal as a Scholar vs. White Mage. Namely, because you are unable to use Leeches to remove his poison and you don't have Succor either (AOE healing). Where as your White Mage at that level does have Esuna and Medica I.

But Aiatar seems to be giving me a royal ass-wooping on SCH....

Edit: Never mind, just did a 2nd run that went 100x better. zero issues healing through the poison stacks, not quite sure what happened on the first run.
The tank failed on the 1st run, not you. (Since you aced it the second time doing the same thing I'm assuming you and fairy healed fine).
The tank either: Didn't use cooldowns or didn't dodge...or both.
The DD's were damaging slow making the tank take more damage in the first place
The tank didn't keep the dragon out of the pools (I am pretty sure you'd have noticed that though)
The DD's stood in poison pools because sometimes, some DD's forget to tie their own shoes let alone pay attention to their surroundings. :P

My guess is 2nd tank dodged moves and the first tank took them in the face. Most of those poison stacks can actually be avoided now as long as the tank dodges to the side.

But you are correct, SCH is more difficult than WHM in Brayflox. ....well more specificially, WHM's can 'carry' party mistakes in Bray, SCH's however (even if played perfectly) cannot.

My WHM alt class. PF looking for healer T1. Sent tell stating i74, never done before. Accepted me in.
Horror story - snake split, I'm practically all over the place trying to dodge poison, trying to keep the tank alive, thinking I had the timing down for my cure I/II to keep him alive. Nope. Wipe. Then again, this time decided to try keeping Medica II (starting earlier though than last time) up as well...how did his life drop 4k?! Cure II hits me because he died...again. Wipe. Again?! I swear I was curing him! WTH?! Wipe. Came out of nowhere for me.

Happy ending - was excellent group who gave great tips, tolerated me learning it, and we made it. Took 4 wipes total, but did it, and it was not by a hair either. Made it by a pretty good margin.

Queue'd for a daily on my SCH, window pop'ed up 2/3 In-progress, Cutter's cry. "Alrightly, super easy!". They were on the last room/area and we cleared without any problems (Tank was new, but was doing well). I promptly give my "Purple in. Blue Out. If targeted, run away from group." line and we pull. DPS were doing the opposite of what I said, Tank was eating every AOE known to man, but Eos and I rawr'ed together and healed through it like a boss. (I think I used Swiftcast+Raise like 10 times). In the middle of the fight, I type in chat, "Tank, please stop eating the aoe's!"

I guess you could say we one-shot it ... After the boss fight, the tank types, "You said "Don't eat the aoe's" What does that mean?" ... I paused for a moment and calmly explained that aoe = red lines/circles/whatever on the ground and that they were bad and you should avoid them at all costs.

Not sure if Horror or Epic Healing for me ... Was exciting though, lol.

    Medica II in turn 1?
Only time I'd use that is during ADS and derpy BRD/MNK/PLD drops High Voltage on us!
I feel safer knowing everyone has a HoT just in-case we take a damage and I can't switch away from tank.

For healing Snakes; stick on best geared PLD (As WHM)
    - Divine blessing whenever you can
    - SoS whenever you can
    - Save PoM for last 15% of snake hp
    - Spam Cure I

    Bonus tips:
    - Avoid Cure II if possible to preserve mana
    - If you're confident in the fight, keep regen on both tanks
    - If you have Virus and E4E use them often as possible
    - When bugs spawn, pop regen on whoever is handling it and ignore them thereafter.

Thanks! Not to stay off topic of thread, but good advice. Yeah, wasn't only my first time as healer here, but only a couple of others had cleared it before, and I think highest iLevel was 82 on a tank. Couple more times through with this group and it should just be like a normal dungeon run. At least I didn't run out of mana!

There are two ways to make it happen:

    1) Have the good luck of finding an awesome party.

    2) Get stoneskin from WHM. Makes Aitar soooooo much easier with Aitar's lag magic.

Finished a Brayflox earlier today, and even though I was queued SMN, the healer and I had our work cut out for us, so I thought I'd share anyway.

First pull, I use Bane. . .everything except the tank's main target is now on me. I comment in chat that Bane is apparently a bad idea. No response from the tank, but he hadn't said hello at the start, either, so I let it go. We get to the boss with me pulling aggro on basically every pull, either from Bane or from having to peel something off of the healer. I'm alternately healing myself or the healer, and occasionally the tank, just because aggro's all over the place and there's no sense making the WHM spam medica. One shot the boss because the adds there are squishy and the tank is doing fine on single-target threat anyway.

As we're saving one of the goblins between first boss and second, the healer says not to blame him if one of the dps dies, because we can't follow marks. I say that I won't blame him, even though Bane shouldn't be enough to pull aggro, and neither should his heals. He apparently realized that I knew what I was doing at this point and that it really was the tank messing things up. We wound up wiping once on the second boss. At some point after the second boss I realize the PLD has had no oath up for a while. Auto-translate solves that, and I realize that maybe he just doesn't speak English. Auto-translate also gets him to start using 2 Flashes at the beginning of the fight, so now we're dealing with much less in the way of aggro issues. All is going moderately well, except that the tank is still switching from #1 to #2 so early that the BRD and I are pulling aggro on #1, not to mention pulling multiple groups and just generally running around with no clear direction. Pretty sure Eye for an Eye saved our lives more than once.

We clear the salamander boss, and it the horror of trying to do Aiatar with this boss dawns on the rest of the group. We resign ourselves to two tries. The pulls up to Aiatar are uneventful except for the looming specter of death before us. First pull of Aiatar, the healer lags at the beginning and eats a line AOE. We don't recover; wipe one. Healer apologizes, and we prepare for the second pull. Tank runs in, proceeds to tank Aiatar dead center in the room. We get Aiatar down to just under half when it happens: Poison spawns at her feet. The tank spins her enough to make an elephant dizzy, but doesn't budge from the spot. The BRD and I are eking out what DPS we can, but the health bar isn't budging. Then I realize that the health bar also isn't increasing. We're fighting the puddle to a stalemate, we just have to outlast it. I've already burned the LB2, and the bar is almost halfway full again. Then I glance at the health bars and panic, because the WHM is at 100 MP. I call for Ballad, and between me and the BRD, we help the WHM along until the puddle finally disappears, everyone stabilizes, and we can go back to killing the boss. Fight overall took somewhere around 5 minutes, and if I'd known the dungeon would require me to heal half as much as I did, I wouldn't have queued.

Only 29 so don't have too much horror stories yet but today i saw something very questionable.
Just normal ifrit so should be really easy right? Yup, till the tank starts parking ifirit in the middle of room followed by running rounds around him making the aoe flying all over the place.
