another interesting fact. with a r50 pug, a r50 thm, and a r47 arc which do you think i take out to farm? if it is so OP you would think that it would be the thm, but it is not because in certain fights it is great, but in others it is nowhere near as good. when going out to farm mats the much better choice is either the pug or arc over the thm.

So if a class's power is based off how good it is at farming materials, then I suppose Miner is the most OP class.

and yes you are doing it wrong ( thought it easier to farm with pug sine we can't aoe // only red target drop items >.......< )

And what leather do you need in such abundance that one could solo for as a non-thaumaturge? 'cause anything you can solo as a Pugilist that has leather worth anything, a Thaumaturge could do it better.

Non-red mobs drop items. I farm all the time on THM. Gather 5-8 mobs at once and DoT/Shadowfall them to death.

yes non red mobs do drop items at a reduced rate, but go ahead and go pull sets of hogs or toads in 5-8 at a time as a thm and see how well you wind up. arc is the better farming class due to its massive burst it does initially. a thm is better on mobs like nm's because of it's dot's and 3 minute ability(shadowsear). a archer can also pull one mob out of the group and have a good portion of its health gone before it even makes it to you.

Does solo tanking dodore+minions+a few hogs count? I guess, by your assumptions I would be dead, but 90% of the time I'm alive in the end.

i would love to see it. i've seen the video of solo dodore and i have done it myself, but if you get attacked by more than 2 hogs at a time you will lose. thm = strong against magic mobs, but the hog is not magic based.
