In TT the first fork near the room with the glowflies on the left side, there is an opening that you can't jump to. There used to be a path you could run through to get up there and fight a mini boss for loot.
You should have bought an authenticator.....
Your tears feed me....

I support this idea. +1
In fact, I had a very similar idea last week but this seems a little more fleshed out. In place of the bosses, they could turn them into FATEs or better yet, notorious monsters. It would certainly open up the world a little bit more and encourage exploration.

I very much agree with this. The game needs a lot more content but those that have faith will have to be patient for now and hope the devs make the right decisions.
I've thought about this to because technically the dungeon instances are just "quest" which occur within those dungeons, an event once completed causing said area to be safe to traverse into.
To unlock them and have them with their own unique assortment of mobs would add more variety in terms of locations and gameplay aspect they could add into those said dungeons.
Like copperbell mines it could be something which has mobs ranging from 20-50, unlocking the 40-50 mobs location upon completing the HM dungeon aka offering a reason for new players to complete older content since for the most part these dungeons will become irrelevant come the next patch and thanks to CT one can pretty much bypass any HM content because the philo gains at i80 gear is just easier to do.
-------------
Let's say in copperbell mines you complete the lower level one, now you unlocked the mine, a zone which has new inaccessible areas within the with mobs ranging from 20-40, and gathering nodes for miner/fisher/botanist from 30-40.
Complete hard mode unlock new areas which house mobs ranging from 41+ and nodes from 41+ and also "rare" nodes much like the ones that have crawler cocoon and darkstell ore.
Just like how the Crystal tower area is traversed to get to the entrance of, you would just need to interact with a door that would bring you to the otherside and allow players to explore more of the area.
Dungeons are a very untapped resource which could definitely add a lot of diversity to the game, the resources are already there, for the most part people ignore parts of the dungeon which would in turn give others a chance to appreciate the areas more, and the developers themselves would be able to add more lore into these dungeons via quest or even add 2nd tier beastmen dailies that take place within these dungeons and may even unlock new DF dungeons of their own.
Cannot agree more with this idea. We've went through the instance, which is more like a quest.
Now we should be able to have free access to an uninstanced version of the dungeon.
It doesn't make sense that we've went in and killed off the boss at the end, effectively making the place a little safer, and then we can't explore it.
The area should only be accessed via the entrance however, and would give people a reason to traverse the open world, instead of sitting in a camp/city/lobby and waiting for Duty Finder...

If they did this i would spend more time in dungeons than anything else and I have a lot of friends that class them self's as Casual gamers i told them my idea and they thought that MMORPGS already have that kind of stuff. told them that FFXIV doesn't and they decided that there gonna wait for Elder Scrolls online to come out the think it will have more opened world content cause of the other games in the series.
If SE do this not only will they get more casual gamers that will stay but the hard core gamers would be happy to. And the Fans of FF imho.

Its a win win situation for every one. When you think about it.I support this idea. +1
