The generally accepted strategy for that fight is to have each tank take turns pulling the adds as they spawn, so that the group of ranged dps in the back and focus target on one while the other is held by a tank.

How poorly geared must you be to not be able to tank the Atamos adds by yourself...It's a waste to switch tanks.

Unless your crawling in there with the utterly minimal item level one tank should be perfectly fine holding all the adds while the other tank focuses on ending the fight quicker. It must be because I'm on a Japanese server but sometimes NA strategies are hillariously complex when they don't need to be.
