    you mean like how it is now? all my idea does remove tomes locks and replace it with a grind that will takes months until the inevitable nerf, so we casuals will catch up later

    in your opinion, i think pvp in this game is a great example to go by. pvp requires each player to grind our way to the top. we dont have roulette bonuses (although we need some) for a pvp player to get to rank 30.every player will have to player for weeks (or 1000 wins) to just the rank. there are us players who started in 2.1, who hasnt reach rank lvl 30 yet.those players who are in R30 are truly awesome as some of them got their rank and gear before the 2.15 buff. those players are totally respect as they went thru crap to get to the top.the grind is what keeping pvp alive.

    how will they lose out? my FC isnt has a coil statics outside the FC as most of us dont care for coil tbh, yet the progressed to coil 4 and working on 5. as how coil is design now and in the future, the hardcore will always be on top, while those without FCs and casuals will have to either chose : PF coil or wait until the echo buff implemented.we are already exlcuded and cant do the hardcore content always. that point is moot.

    My point is, more and more people are requirig ilevel insanity to get content done. a lot of people aren't going to be able to complete said content. Lets use the PF as an example. I got into a i88 requirement "weekly" group for primal weapons. This is my 3rd weapon im doing in my down time. Rules were 2 fail=kick. i88 for requirement?should be a breeze right? said "leader" wiped twice on garuda with in 5 minutes. refused to remove himself from the party and started kicking others. I know PLENTY of people i72, i70 even i68 who play a lot better than those making requirements for PF groups. But those people will never get the chance to do the content to find a static because the static requires an insane ilevel when people were doing it in i70 gear before the whole itel level number was even implemented. Now because no one wants a challenge and wants everything handed to them on a silver spoon theres no challenge. How can someone learn the coil if no one gives them the opportunity. Honestly, the people who cleared coil going up to turn 5 in full DL, THOSE are hardcore players. The players asking for full i90 item level aren't hardcore.

    tl;dr by making the gear in coil better is going to cause a lot of players to get even more pissy. Unfair this, unfair that. why should I wait for the echo buff blah blah etc. It's not even about the hardcore anymore. It's about being handed what you want with no effort.

    I agree completely about ilv restrictions. However, that's a community enforced rule, not a game enforced one. The only way to stop the majority of the community from being lazy about ilv is to remove the feature in PF altogether, because most players affected by this are just going to get to i85+ and say "I had to go through it, so why not you too."

    Consider also that 2.2 will likely see a myth cap increase (again), as well as difficulty decrease, so the current endgame will be replaced with newer, more difficult content.

    The problem with ilv restrictions will remain, and the player-enforced ceiling on avg ilv will likely increase too, but at those who never got the opportunity to experience coil content before will be able to access it through DF now (can see the ragequitting already, though).

    I'd actually guess that the myth cap will be gone in 2.2. I don't see a reason for it to still be there considering coil/AF2 is likely to be ilvl 110, making current coil/myth gear the new version of Darklight. I'd also expect CT loot lockout to be gone so it isn't completely obselete and perhaps some different drops other than i80 gear to keep it relevant.
