Why would you need to keep on checking every single bazaar when you could just /sea all? Those who are selling their items will advertise it with their search comments. Also you could use the guildwork plugin and /gw search <item name> to find what you want. This sort of reminds me of the Bazaar system from FFXI. The Bazaar system in FFXI is TERRIBLE. You have to be logged in to sell anything by bazaar. There's no way to tell who is selling the items that you want except by individually examining people one by one until you find the item you're interested in - and then KEEP ON examining people until you verify that it's not being sold cheaper by someone else. If you're trying to SELL something, it's just as aggravating, as you need to examine everyone to get a rough idea of what your product could be selling for, lest you let a valuable item sell far too cheaply or completely fail to sell because you priced your item way too high.

That's a really good idea they could put the Personal Shops in the Ward is it areas where the FC houses are or where are own personal houses will be. And with a search option all you would have to do is type in what you are looking for and it would give you the ward name and the location for you to go there. You could also have the store opened or closed and when you wanted to do a mission or quest you could leave you retainer there opened for business.

I would like to have a personal bazaar back like we had on XI.

FFXI idea in this game would need to be worked on in such a big way but i think this thread will come up with a formula that would work and be more compatible with this game layout.
I think we are getting somewhere.
It reminds me of Ragnarok Online. Sounds fun!

Okay, then what would you say is the fundamental difference between this and the FFXIV's 1.0 bazaar?Im saying it should immobilize the player. PS should only be used when you are afk or feel like 'working' for the money. Competitive or quick selling should always be for the MB imho. The rating system and skins were just ideas of adding something no other game has before.
Cause that's what I'm not quite understanding, why differentiate Personal Shops as a new term when it functions ideally the way Bazaars were.
i'd rather like a list of items a player is looking to buy for there price instead.

Yea, not saying it needs to be ripped straight from XI but something similar would be nice. If we were to have a separate tab to hold bazaar items and maybe a system like how FFXIAH was where you could seach for items in players bazzars, built in game of course, we could have a nice personal bazaar system to sell items with out a tax at a slower sell rate than the MB.

A lovely idea in theory, and I've often set such search comments myself. Unfortunately, in practice less than 10% of bazaars bother with a message, so you still have to wind up checking everyone out for fear of missing out on a good deal. It doesn't help at all that your seacom gets erased every time you log out for whatever reason, so if you disconnect and have to relog to set up your bazaar again, it's all too easy to forget to reestablish the message.

Basically from what I understand from the bazaar you chose your retainer to stand in for you? My issue with this is ps imho are something of a charming aspect of the game, rather than a major way of making money. Part of that charm is interaction with other people, which is why many of us play an mmo to begin with. The mb is awesome for making money, and has been in many games. But ps are a great way to make money on the side, if you feel like doing the extra work. If you don't, mb's are right for you. Personally I would use both, and looking from a great deal of positive feedback on these forums I think the community would too. That is why I keep pressing the matter on ps being SEPARATE from the MB, youd be taking the point out of ps, which is more of a social aspect than anything.
