Who said Casual Carl needed special accommodations to raid? If this game was set up for "casual carl" then how are the accommodations special? And if you are upset about the game being for "Casual Carl" then shouldn't you go find a game designed for "Long-grind Lenny"?

An entire genre has been changed for Casual Carl and you don't see how this is a problem? Wow.Who said Casual Carl needed special accommodations to raid? If this game was set up for "casual carl" then how are the accommodations special? And if you are upset about the game being for "Casual Carl" then shouldn't you go find a game designed for "Long-grind Lenny"?
I play about 5-6 hours a day while also holding down a 40 hrs per week job. I have an i80 smn, i74 blm, and i72 bard. Other combat classes are at least 30, and I have levels in all the crafting classes. I haven't even started on Coil or Extremes. Given how much I play, it's not due to lack of time. I just chose to take my time. So while I think Casual Carl should realize that Long-grind Lenny is also playing the way they enjoy, LG Larry needs to realize that CC plays the way they like. Neither side is "right" about how you should play the game, because there's not just one way to play it.
I suppose but then I never tried playing something I disliked so much that I needed it to be completely changed in order for me to want to have fun. If I didn't like it I would have done what you suggest to just find another game, but of course those people didn't find another game.
Anyways it's not your fault, the game devs are the ones who changed everything to sell more copies.

When I think "if this was any other franchise but final fantasy, would I play it?" And I usually think no. I think this is the case for a lot of players.
