No idea why people use that word to insult. Everyone wants to be a special snowflake to some degree.
Make your own funsies, help players, and chat with friends seems to be how most players are surviving end game.

Back on topic. Maybe on the second half of the live letter they will say something interesting about the next patches. To be honest, my worse fear on the short term is that they disappoint us with the Glamour (vanity system), as we're still in the dark in that regard. Wouldn't surprise me a lot anyway, considering what happened with housing.
When I get bored, I play other games for a while. I'm in the midst of The Last Remnant right now, and suggest that you give it a shot!

not directly to the OP, but to all who feel like they're in a similar situation:
Log in, stop thinking about yourself directly for a few minutes.
Put some shouts out in town to help encourage new players, or players new to endgame events. Get chatting with people standing around about the game, tactics or something off-topic to the game. In short, socialize.
After a fortnight you might be hard-pressed to fit in your 1hr Coil run because your having too much fun hanging out with your new friends. You'll probably find that you've actually rewarded yourself with a lot more than a full set of Allagan Gear.
