If this isn't real life, then I don't see how that would restrict the imagination, instead of freeing it. I guess I've heard this line for too long in too many debates. "SE needs to cater to the majority/the casual/the fans, or they won't get top dollar! Nothing is wrong! Nothing is wrong!"

We impart a bit of ourselves into our characters, sometimes we just do away with it, and act as we are whether it is base, crude, kind, thoughtful. It is part of the social part of this game, part of the social game we all get into in one way or another. Now I hate the shouting proselytizer as much as the next person, but to say that my opinion about romance is part of a larger effort to extend it to MMOs I don't play, is a bit farfetched.All I'm saying is people don't like getting excluded for the sake of money, anymore than they would get excluded because some tool thinks their presence would cause the country/company/county to dissolve into Snake Pliskin's backyard.

But whatever, let's go back to murdering small helpless animals and bandits then, like normal members of Eorzean society. I guess that's all video gaming can handle in this day and age. /shrug
