ilvl lockout adjustment needs to be removed

I'm already il90 blm best in slot and im leveling my other character for family member and community wants everything that should be for item level 75~80 be 82~90. This causes me to be locked out of party finder for the gear to reach that goal. Just have base level requirements in Party Finder that cant be adjusted for each content.

Either have it or don't have it as a setting. Not all the item level 80 gear is better then item lv70 stuff cus it lacks acc/crit etc then other pieces. Also Materia gear isnt effected item level & im having to cheat toget into party finder just not the higher up ones.

This is probably one reason why content is being nerfed cus people cant get into it.

Sure its easy your thinking.... but really start up another character and try toget into anything after relic quest.. without fc help. Everyone expects item level 80+ for coil turn1 but you get the gear to reach that goal.

Equipment means nothing unless your skilled at your job and you know the fight well enough where you do it in your sleep. To bad most of the community doesn't know the difference. Its still a great tool but community just setting there standards too high.

I'm not saying I don't agree with the part about ridiculous item level requirements people have, but creating a party with specific requirements is exactly what Party Finder is for. If you don't like the strict requirements:

1. Create your own party
2. Message the person and try to get in
3. Duty finder

Only #1 is the only one that really works & you cant just Duty finder Coil.. yet.
#2 is you get shutdown 90% of the time cus ppl want it a cake walk. (I out do people with higher item level that never completed the content)
#3 Cant do it or cant manage a party well enough to complete content like Extremes,Coil. Like you cant really setup optimal job setup for a Titan Extreme. Cant drop dead weight and find new people outside without breaking the hole party. Sure can do it in the dungeon but what if you run outta time, need meds, food, repair.. your done.

Like I said its really a good tool just community setting there standards too high.

Can't prevent people from being stupid. I got told I was undergeared for garuda hard mode the other day as an i75. "He has a green weapon, he won't do enough dps." Because an i70 crafted weapon isn't enough to do garuda hard mode.

People will just /examine everyone instead and kick whoever is the least geared.

If they're looking for DPS classes, and since you have a i90 BLM, just enter as a black mage and switch. Either that or inflate your ilvl by wearing accessories and swapping back. I probably did this half the time and people didn't even notice or they didn't care enough to kick me. If you know you can beat it there shouldn't be a problem.

This. When I was gearing my blm I was equipping my i90 healing gear to bypass the ilvl reqs people were putting up. No one noticed. I guess they assumed if I could join I was worth keeping. Being i72 in an i82 group makes you feel good and still win

I'm not sure what you expect to be done here.

People have always been dicks about this sort of thing. Even ignoring the ilvl requirements, just look at all the PF comments, almost every single extreme primal fight will have some sort of EXP PPL ONLY (and in the case of something like Titan EX, add in a bit about queueing Ifrit EX just to be sure that everyone's beaten it before) or NO SCREW UPS OR YOUR (sic) KICKED comment.

Even if being able to set a higher ilvl requirement wasn't a feature, the people that are undergeared or inexperienced with a fight would still get weeded out and likely booted from the group anyway. There isn't anything SE can do about this, other than -- as you already said -- nerfing the fights to the point of triviality.

Not sure if OP is serious or joking. I'm sure people would want your 3.6k HP DPS alt in Titan extreme, when they are using the Party finder yea?

Gear up through CT/Myth farming? Its not like we're all still spending Myth on our main job lol, I've just finishing gearing my 2nd with Myth.

You know the reason why people want higher Ilvl than whats required isnt just to stop learners. Its because So So many players suck at there Jobs & cant do enough DPS so they require more stats to get there DPS to match whats required rather than the ilvl requirement, hence the higher ilvl.

They suck, they lagg, they dont use there cooldowns right, they dont use food, there stats have to much ACC, not enough ACC e.t.c. The Players in this game are just bad in general! & thats why Ilvl is always so high.
