Tobacco has the same effect, however, I do not condone smoking if you are not a smoker already.
You should have bought an authenticator.....
Your tears feed me....
I actually find this funny. So many people complain about the map being too small and want it like 1.0, yet how many of them actually run on their chcobo to places instead of just teleporting? I rarely see people actually run somewhere. I try to run when I can and stop for fates even if I'm lvl 50 just to help out the maybe 3 other people trying to complete the fate in 10 minutes. I liked the increase exp in the dungeons, and I don't think that is what is discouraging people to run around. I think people being lazy is what discourages exploring.
i was getting 9 min queues on my smn last night.
i don't condone smoking in general...but this isn't about smoking.
if your complaining about queue times for dps, roll a tank, or do something while you wait. no sense in just loitering until a long queue pops.
They really messed up Fates. Everything else was a fine addition, but the Fate system before was a far better one then this one. Don't get me wrong, I was no fan of the Fate zerging, but they have definitely overtuned in the wrong direction. It definitely took away from the casual friendly nature of leveling jobs, especially after you get your first 50 through main storyline.
I like how things last a bit longer and its not just a spam AoE and watch things instantly die, they just need to tune it down a bit further so its not so difficult, and people are willing to step back into the brawl. Quarrymill had King/Hive Fates just getting ignored because it was just a death fest. Also, many Fates are popping on top of quests/objectives and can make completing some things impossible till the timer is up. I already have all 50s, and know this from lvling an alt Char. As an experienced/skilled player I'm able to craft my way through a lot of things, but a lot of these changes are just going to be a frustration to newer players.
I do. Unless it's going to or from Limsa I always try to chocobo, and when going to Limsa I usually use the airship. I only tele if I'm in a hurry because I'm meeting someone and don't want to make them wait. Otherwise I'll take the slowest, cheapest option.
Just throwing it out there.. didn't read all the other posts in the thread, but que time is significantly shorter for melee dps than it is for ranged dps from my experience. When I was leveling blm it was approximately 20-30 minute wait for dungeons, on mnk it's 5-10 minutes max.
queue time has gone down A LOT since FATES got the nerfbat. The people who had massive timers are now making tanks and healers, so low level queues go very fast these days. Plus now people actually have to learn thier class instead of spam aoes *cough*blerpmages*Cough*
If waiting 30 minutes for a queue is insane, don't ever queue CT solo.Let me get right to the point because I am frustrated.
EXP increase to dungeon, general attitude was that it was a good change. When put into actual practice with the daily roulette it has done more harm for MOST of the player base then good and here is the problem. DPS get INSANE queue times couple with the fact there is a shortage of tanks that queue up as it is. It creates the problem where tanks level super fast with healers and leave all the DPS behind - DPS then are going to have to FATE grind like the old days because of said duty queue. BUT because of the OVERTUNE NERF change to the scaling of fate and the # of participating players most DPS besides DAILY roulette which as it is takes a loooong period of time to actually get super screwed...
Fates weren't nerfed per se the rewards for gold bronze silver for the same but if your referring to difficulty yeah that was changed so its scales based on previous participants but that's not really a nerf either
