Weird enough on Balmung the Pure one is more expensive (or at least was yesterday, prices fluctuate). I bought my bitter for 1900g and sold my pure leftovers for 2500g each.
I really think it's a matter of population, of course if there's so much less males bitter will be much more expensive. The sad thing is this event - I guess - was supposed to be done by finding people to trade with...while it's mostly market board. At least, I stood in Limsa for a while, asking for someone to give me his thing...erhm chocolate...but had to resort to buying in the end.

Huh. When I did the event on opening day it was ~9k for a bitter and ~900 for a pure. Interesting to see things flip around like that.

Maybe it's just that most guys aren't interested in a Valentine's Event.

Y'all are (mostly) too serious. By referencing Sailor Moon and Yellow Rose I was hoping for some silly/amusing responses.

Interesting numbers about the split of character genders. I tend to agree with the 'fewer men interested in the Valentine event' approach since over half our FC is male characters but many of them have not done the event.

Me bitter? If you look at Valentione's 'off camera' dialogue, she is clearly the bitter one and is pushing her view of romance onto the character because she is so distressed about her own lack thereof.

I think everyone should do what I did yesterday - create a new male character to complete the Valentine event. Get all the bitter chocolate you can. Then sell it all! Overwhelm the markets with bitter chocolate to send the prices plummeting! Only when Eorzea is overwhelmed by bitterness will people see how truly worthless bitterness is!

Prostitution for chocolate. That is absolutely hilarious. On Tonberry there seems to be surplus of females and not enough males, so bitter is worth more than pure.

I don't know about other servers but on Malboro bitter heart chocolate is selling for 7000 gil and pure heart chocolate for 2500.

Fortunately we had people all over Limsa shouting for short time hookups. Women and men looking to exchange the woman's purity for bitterness after a short, commercial exchange. And then removing their clothes in public. It was truly a .. touching .. scene. So thank you to that guy whose name I have already forgotten.

On another note, why is Yellow Rose at the weaver's guild? She should be headlining at the Bismark! Her admirers demand no less!
