Personally, I'd rather you scrap the Armoury System then Lock 1 Job to 1 Weapon.

RDM can be implemented when and if they add the fencer class, which will use a fencing sword.

THF can be implemented when and if they add a class that would make sense to evolve into THF. They can make a class use whatever weapon they want. It doesn't have to be a dagger. It could be a knife. It could be a short sword. It could be a dirk. A shiv. A pick. Shall I go on?

Knife, Shortsword, Dagger, are all currently parts of the Gladiator Weapon Class. 1 Job 1 Class. Your locked out.

How pissed off are the Thief fans going to be if thief is locked to Archer? Forced to use bow and arrow and can't even touch daggers? Then you have the Ranger fans who would be pissed because Ranger can't be implemented. Oh wait Musketeer can be a ranger. Well now the Corsair fans are pissed.

Fencer sure, it can be implemented, but there is currently no plans for them to add new classes yet. They said they wont be for a while, while they are working on rebuilding the combat system and implementing the job system. I wouldn't expect Fencer and Red Mage for at least a year and a half at that point then.

How many jobs can use specifically basic Swords?

Fighter
Knight
Paladin
Warrior
Dancer
Bard
Blue Mage
Red Mage
Thief
Dragoon
Corsair
Samurai
Ninja

Etc. They might not be the best choices but Never has a Job in past FF's ever been limited to strictly one weapon class. Even in FF1.

I'm not saying I'm owed anything. But this system is going to leave a lot to be desired and we'll either never see it or its going to cause more pain then pleasure implementing them in the future. How any one can support this locked down system is beyond me.
