That's a shame because I loved that fight. It was freaking BRUTAL but not impossible, and there were no stupid shiny red circles in a fixed pattern - no, you had to actually know his pattern and be able to anticipate/react accordingly - it was the closest thing to an XI-styled NM battle as we ever got and it was great ^_^

Hard mode was a bit much though, if only because you had to farm the mobs that spawn in the fight in order to make the item you needed to survive megaflare... lolwut? Even CoP wasn't that harsh. I've not beaten T5 yet (only just beat 4 for the 1st time last night) but I've long suspected ever since we saw his body just disappear into Dalamud that he'd be back.

I really hope he's the boss of Turn 9, and then Bahamut himself is alliance battle in T10 (he has to be, he's way too massive...)

Well...you did have to farm for those polymers against Ultima/Omega in CoP, but yes I understand how harsh the fight was =P

Yes but you farmed for CoP items before doing the story battles, not during.
