I'm LGBT and I don't think the vanlentines quest is offensive.

No one cares. It's a video game. There comes a point where the LGBT agenda is too pushy. This is one of them. Trust me, mostly all gay people don't care. Neither do I.

People don't play video games to worry about their problem in real life. A lot of gay people still suffer from people telling them "you are a guy so you have to get a wife like other guys" in real life.

When an NPC in a video game also "you are a guy so you have to get a wife like other guys" to you it's not really offensive or anything, it's just one of those things that really doesn't need to be there. So all you can do is let out a big sigh and hope they don't do something like that again.

They could have just left out that unnecessary line and kept the quest the same.

As someone who likes old, lazy, out of shape women, I am offended at the modifiers "strapping" and "young" that a made up robot that is the result of lines of programing code said in a world that doesn't actually exist. I would have preferred the following line:

"I hope that you do or do not do whatever is it is you wish or do not wish to do with an individual that may or may not exist. This individual can meet any description, but I will not define their characteristics in any way at all. The opinions expressed here do not reflect the opinion of Square Enix, Yoshi-P, Japan, the Internet, human beings, or sentient robots. Please look forward to it."

Being told that I have to hook up with a guy even though I'm gay maybe doesn't rank up there with:
-being told I can't get a job because of having black skin
-being told I can't go to school because I'm a woman
- etc etc

But still, it's one of those things that doesn't need to be in a video game.

But as I've said plenty of times before, it doesn't really matter, because it's just a video game.

And in this same video game there is a quest where catgirls in bikinis say they want to hook up with you after you scare away some peeping toms, and if you play a female character during that quest they say "oh, you didn't think I swing that way?" implying they're bi anyway.


You people are taking an innocent observation about the game and spinning it into some gay crusade, when it's nothing like that.
