I'm LGBT and I don't think the vanlentines quest is offensive.

Ima a gay man and I heard about the hilarity going on in the forums yesterday from a friend. At first when I heard about the quest I though, "hey, that's might inconvenient." Once I actually played the event I quickly realized, "hey, this is pretty harmless."

I was lead to believe that the hearts were meant to be shared with your one and only "valentine". Instead you get six. If anything, Square is trying to get an orgy going.

All in all, this quest is harmless to the LGBT community.

The only borderline offensive thing about it is that the NPC that gives you the final quest says something along the lines of "hooking up with a strapping young lad" if you're female and the opposite if you're male.

Basically they are saying if you're female you can only hook up with a guy on valentines day.

But I'm probably the only one playing this game crazy enough to actually read quest dialogue so it's likely that nobody else noticed this.

I'm glad others noticed it too. I'm gay and I didn't think the event was homophobic or offensive but the final quest text irked me somewhat... mostly because it reminded me of conversations I've had in real life that I've not had to deal with for a while, nor did I want to in a game I really love.

I don't think they were being offensive or homophobic, I just think they could have made the final quest a tad more neutral.

No one cares. It's a video game. There comes a point where the LGBT agenda is too pushy. This is one of them. Trust me, mostly all gay people don't care. Neither do I.
