Beast tribe minions/mounts feel like a slap in the face.

Is it a lot of money? Yes. Is it worth it? Depends on the player I guess. To me this thread is less about what you are getting and more about how much it costs. I believe the intent of the OP is more of a "reward does not meet the difficulty" than a " /stamp foot I want it NAO! " complaint. I agree that this is a money sink to get more gil out of the economy thinly disguised as a reward. I am fine with that.

Now to address money complaints. Go level a miner or fisher or botanist. Sell stuff. Its really not hard. Even iron ore, a lvl 15 harvested item, is needed by high level combines (cobalt ore + iron ore = cobalt ingot). Really, when people complain about not having money it blows my mind.

25k is not much in this game really. Its still better than some being sold for 40k+ on AH. ( bluebird and Tomberry going for 395K on Moogle)


But what do i know... Money isnt a problem for me anyway, so i'll eventually get all tribes mounts / minions.

Well, I just spent 250K on a Tonberry minion, and am tempted to spend about the same on a Bluebird (I run maps a lot too, and have seen 3 Bluebirds drop so far). 25K is a steal lol

We checked the the Beast Tribe Lead who informed us that the plan was for these rewards to be considered valuable collector's items for those who purchase them, so we don't have any plans to lower their prices.

For all 4, it comes out to 290,000 gil. That is a pretty big chunk of gil. Doing dailies every day for 46 days, and finally capping both tribes' reputation today, and our reward is spending a ton of money on mounts and minions.

50k per mount would have been alright. 120k is insane. 25k per minion is just insane as well.

What else you gonna spend that gil on? Gear? (ROFL)

But really... gil is for vanity, you guys asked for it...

Thanks for the info Hvinire, and that is the point right there...if you look at the mounts and pets as collectors items then its your choice if its worth adding to your collection or not and if your willing to spend your gil on.
