Beast tribe minions/mounts feel like a slap in the face.

For all 4, it comes out to 290,000 gil. That is a pretty big chunk of gil. Doing dailies every day for 46 days, and finally capping both tribes' reputation today, and our reward is spending a ton of money on mounts and minions.

50k per mount would have been alright. 120k is insane. 25k per minion is just insane as well.

You know there's nothing compelling you to buy them right? I mean, they serve no function, give no advantage and are purely cosmetic?

Also, just take crafting rings/accessories into CT. Three runs later and you will have 5-30k per accessory (your server's economy may vary).

i don't disagree that people can just not buy them but do crafting accessories come for free on your server?

I prefer to have those prices and be able to buy them when I get the gil, than having to pay real money for all the cool vanity items like in some other MMOs (even some non F2P ones). That's one of the reasons why I love this game, being a completionist/collector as I am. I know that eventually I can get it all without going over what I pay for my sub (that it's way less than what it would cost me to buy a single one of these things in those other MMOs that I mentioned).

They're not that high, so as long as they don't get crazy in the future I'm fine (as in not a lot higher and/or not those prices for temporary content, which I hate).

It kinda sucks to take out 290k for them when you're trying to save money for FC housing. But it's not unbearable by any means. I'm a collectionist more than anything, so it's hard not to buy them both right away when I reach the rep level in a few days, but I'll have to restrain myself.

They're non-essential luxury items. Of course they're going to be expensive.

Gil you can get daily.

High roulette: ~1k + ~50gil/mob
Low roulette: 2-4k + ~10gil/mob (depending on instance, assuming you're 50)
Guildhest roulette: ~1k
Boar/Peisteskin map: 1.6k personal gil (plus anything that fetches a decent price on markets)
Beastmen dailies: ~3-5k
*420/480 for tier 1, 600/660 tier2, 780 tier3, 6 a day.

Taking the lowest values, that's 9k/day minimum. Assuming you only do your beastmain dailies, you would at minimum have ~90k (3k x 30 days) at rank 4 from just the quest gil rewards. Probably more. Almost pays for the mount itself. Also not mentioned: all the philo you build up from this which you can sell.

Haven't done story roulette in a while, if someone wants to check the end gil reward from that.

In regards to making gil, I do the six Beast quests every day, do a treasure map every day, run Roulette 5-6 times a week, and sell NQ mats I unfortunately turn out while trying to make HQ. Doing that I seem to be bringing in at least 100K a week. And I'm not even trying to make gil.

I already spent almost two months grinding up the rep. Sure you can make 10k gil in a day, if you spend all your playtime watching the market boards and crafting.

low level dungeon roulette + high level dungeon roulette + guildhest roulette + 6 battle/gathering leves (lv45) can give you around 12k/day without the market board or crafting.
Time: around 2 hours (less if the dungeon run go flawless)

Problem is that people expect to buy them asap as soon as they reach the level. Ever heard about saving? I'm a new player in a JAP legacy server and I never have gil problems except for housing.
