If the decision to take down the video was SE's decision it is a bad call. I mean this is free advertising, or do they have no confidence in their product that they have to bait people with the mystery factor to get people playing? You're not promoting something which could have monetary gain for yourself nor losses for SE. And if copyrights disclaimer are posted on the description, I don't see the logic in disallowing it.

It's generally to set a precedent. When it comes to copyright law, certain companies are notorious for going after small things brought to their attention simply because they don't like the idea that someone is possibly using and/or benefiting off of their IP. For example, Disney and Viacom have reputations for being companies that generally destroy even small time youtubers and vendors just because they like to scare off other potential individuals who might be tempted to do the same thing.

In the end, even if it doesn't make sense - It's their IP, and that's all that matters at the end of the day.

i posted on both NA and JP forums
i am working on a orchestral remix of the video to work with squares copyright it most likely will not have the same feel but i do hope it will still be entertaining using ff14s bgm

I just looked at your thread. Heres the thing. The Japanese forums watch there thread very closely if you translated your thread, you can see the guy saying he reported you for posting that.
