something that i feel scholar needs

is some kind of trait or buff to boost it's critical hit rate %.
according to the calc here: http://valk.dancing-mad.com/calculat...ng-calculator/
it takes 409 crit to reach 10% crit rate and 480 to reach 15% wich means you will not be crit'ing most of the time. for a monk 15% becomes 45% with internal release. so without something like that i wonder if its better to just shoot for 409 crit then prioritize mnd/det on the rest of your gear. this actually makes allagan tunic of healing look a little more apealing.

you should be prioritizing MND over CRIT anyway.

excepting BRD (for whom crits reset bloodletter but IR isn't as effective) many other classes don't receive an INHERENT bonus for critical hits, or at least not one as powerful as the shield multiplier on adlo. in most cases a crit is just a 1.5x bigger version of whatever thing, which is often enough by itself to want to stack crit despite not having a crit-boosting skill or trait.

SCH receives the same benefit (periodically more powerful heals), but on top of this they get an extremely powerful proc in the form of the double adlo shield. a 15-20% chance to trigger a doubly powerful shield on every adlo cast, on top of the basic perks that come with stacking that much crit (namely more crits), is, imo, enough. also consider that the max amount of crit we can currently obtain without gimping ourselves comes only from gear that is available at this time. crit rates could very well go much higher as new ilvl tiers are introduced.

Also note enhanced pet actions, 20% chance of getting a 20% spell speed buff for 8 seconds when our fairy crits (which is effected by our stats). I'm currently at 497 crit aka 16.2% and if I didn't mind dropping 3 mind I could push to 17.32% with the royal boots. Having a 'crit on demand' button would be arguably too much given that my crit adloq shields are approaching 3k before modifiers such as Mantra, Conv or Defiance.

I think Selene needs a complete overhaul on her skill sets. That's prolly SCH #1 need. Not saying her skill/spell speed buff are completely useless. (Since they are known to take off 2~3mins off of a fight like T4) But they could at-least lower the silence skill cd or add something additionally to it. (Or Hell, merge the skill/spell speed buff together and add a new skill to the extra slot, since SE is not even sure yet on how to make skill/spell speed viable)

As for your crit, mm you'll love healing warriors then.

Scholars need an ability that makes their next heal an automatic crit, and put that on a decent cooldown (Like a 90 sec)
Would be really cool to be able to make something crit before a big move.

If I could for sure get a crit before death sentences in T5 though that would just be OP. We already have lustrate which is unaffected by the healing debuff add that much damage mitigation on top of that and we are going to see even more SCH is better than WHM threads.

I don't think something like this is needed at all. SCHs are doing really well in any content.
And a sure crit on demand would be very OP unless it would be on 5 min CD like Benediction but then it would get super useless again.

Ok something needs to cleared up lol.

SCHS do not need to solely prioritize MND over CRIT, at end game a SCH should get 430 at least crit imo then everything else MND and DET

Prioritize crit on i90 gear, the Mind will always be there, I'm not sure why this type of topic is even a thing on here TBH. There are currently so few gearing choices for SCH since most Argute/Allagan are statted the same that the only debatable pieces are in 1 or 2 slots at best. Move along IMHO.
