First expansion pack and new race

Seriously i dont care if they dont have a "Back up" storyline for justify a New Race like Vieras, or a New "Cute" Elf Race. All i want is they make NEW RACES.

I played FFXI for almost 8 years. IM TIRED of the same characters, Galka, elvaan, taru and Mithra. ARR just copy pasted the existing races from FFXI that only show to me Laziness

i Feel they could put all the existing races and make 5 new races with the launch the ARR, giving to the players more options.

The storyline is important the first time you play the game.. But after of 6 months and 300 hours played, the storyline no longer matters, all you want is a Cool looking character for enjoy the game.

I want dwarves with some detailed explanation about some of Zodiark's dark crystals found in the underworld. Ill be honest, I really just want to walk through an underground castle with a bunch of dwarves screaming 'LALI HO' at me.

I'm only guessing but I think Lalafell are the FFXIV version of a dwarve.

Vierra are dull. Even moreso with Miqote around.
The 'beast' races everyone seems to go for are ugly.

If they add a new race, just create something new, beautiful, and alien-looking.

I completely agree, and I wish it wasn't the normal bipedal humanoid. I want something like Domingo from Shining Force.

I loved that game....and Domingo was pretty strong. Always had him in my groups.

I'm wishing for Viera to be added to the game. Also red mage. I'd definitely play a Viera red mage!

(And male Viera wouldn't be weird! They could be quite handsome!)

I don't see how male Viera would look odd. Are the game's artists less creative than fan artists?

I'm all for more classes/jobs too....

But they don't have people creating new classes/jobs also spending their times making new races. They have different team members for that.
