The worst lag spikes are when it spikes soon as you sprint, and it cancels your sprint putting it on cool down while still draining your TP, dumbest thing I have ever experienced.
Yeah there is a big thread on the subject, lots of people experiencing it, I had that problem then I gave Wtfast a shot, totally new game for me, however I shouldn't have to not only pay for my ISP, a monthly sub to a game and a proxy server, it's something that really needs to be fixxed.
Every third to fifth fight is like described in the video for me, pretty fun.

Get Battleping. I have verizon FiOS and I skip around the Wolves' Den and constantly slow down/start back up unless I'm running Battleping. It completely eliminated the issue for me. You might say to yourself, "Well it's ridiculous that I have to use an outside service to play the game" but that's the way of things right now.
My life changed after getting Pingzapper, especially in Wolves Den.
The issue is gone after I tried WTFast. I hope SE gets their act together though, I don't see myself paying for a third party service just to play their game the way it's supposed to be.

I get this lag -- but what is that "other" thing in PVP causing what looks like a sliding effect of people. I have 35mb, wired connection, but when I am chasing people they are all over the shop. Naturally they are szig-zagging and randomly changing direction, but what is displayed is like they are ice-skating inside the spinning lottery ball selector...
Someone I asked said it is the update delay, where they appear to be running forward, change directions, but their direction isn't updated for 0.X seconds, so they appear to keep going forward -- then the position updates and their character appears to slide to where it actually was all along.
That would be scholar lustrate. If we cast it while running it appears like we are ice skating "inside the spinning lottery ball selector". The change of directions is just us running in a different direction. You don't see our legs moving because someone at Enix programmed the spell to appear as a static standing animation, rather than showing our legs moving so it looks like we are sliding across the arena until the spell animation is over.I get this lag -- but what is that "other" thing in PVP causing what looks like a sliding effect of people.
