Looting system - can we see lots before drop?

To much to read. But I thought SE just fixed it so Vote Kick couldn't be issued while loot was in the pool. So if we cant kick players while loot is up I don't see why they couldn't show us what other players lot before it drops.\

Found it 2.15 patch notes.
"To prevent abuse of Vote Dismiss when casting lots on items, the Vote Dismiss function can no longer be used when an item is in the loot pool."


So to all the people saying that it would be abused sorry the problem is fixed so there can be no abuse.

As i said and as ive been part of today, they can abuse it afterwards especially in content dropping multiple stuff like CT or coil ( as a whole if you plan to do all turns in 1 go )
Loot drops > ppl rolling > loot roll displayed > someone isnt pleased with who rolled what and wait until drops are distributed> loot is distributed > Vote kick.

Wouldn't stop that.. you see the rolls after the fact.

Then find another group? Not seeing how that is abuse. If someone doesn't want you in the party after the loot has dropped sucks. Not like you are losing anything but maybe time if you cant go into the next turn in CoB.

I wish they did show what others rolled. I went to Garuda EX and it was a greed party, Aiming dropped and the BRD rolled need on it and he said he was there for healing sucked cause if we could see cast maybe they could have got him to leave the party.

In this case there are 2 options.

1.) You got the loot, and you don't really need to be in their party anymore anyway, so who cares if they kick you.

2.) They get the loot, and are mad you tried, in which case they are shitty people and you shouldn't want to play with them anyway, so who cares if they kick you.

I don't get your point because you can already be kicked. How would seeing rolls change anything. If you already can be kicked after loot drops, what difference does it make to you if we could see the rolls before loot drops? It sounds like your complaint is about getting kicked, not the loot system.

And if you can't be kicked while loot has not dropped yet, how would being able to see lots going to hurt anything? Why keep that hidden? Why not just let us see straight up what people are doing? To me, there is a bit more accountability that way. It would also discourage people from lotting on something they agreed they wouldn't if everyone is going to see.

And my original post was more about coil and primals, not so much CT. There are tons more annoying things about CT and that's a whole nother thread.

Well i dunno, i guess more people would tend to use the kick feature then? im just assuming.

PS: I want to say that you guys have valid points and i personally wouldn't mind at all having rolls displayed beforehand. Im not against it as i may sound i am.
But afaik about how the community is, i cant ignore the griefing aspect this feature would bring to some people. >_<

The only thing I will add to this topic from XI is a different suggestion.

The option to pass something you already rolled on if it hasn't dropped. Poor communication and true accidental lotting does happen sometimes and not all loot drops at the end of an instance where it auto passes your lot if you leave.

Yes. In my old CoB Static the BRD got a little greedy and casted lots on his Wrist (need) and Allagan Shield (greed) let just say he lost both of them. People have a bad habit of casting lots on gear even if someone there needs it.

No one can Vote Kick anyone while Treasure in the pool. So the only "Griefing" would be because someone is butt hurt. But there is good in seeing lots, If I could see lots I would now if someone out lotted me and if I should stay or go. As others have said they could see who is casting what and if a person who isn't suppose to cast could be asked to leave the zone (not like most would). Even if we can see who casted what, there is nothing anyone could to enforce a player to leave. Worst case someone gets butt hurt and you get kicked from the party after seeing the lot wont change the outcome of the rolls you either win or lose the gear.
