Yahoo! That's great! I can't wait to more.Greetings,
If you really dig the weather effects, you'll be interested in what's coming in patch 2.16!
In the recent Letter from the Producer LIVE, you may have seen mention that in 2.16 we'll be making a few visual tweaks to how your character reacts to the weather - namely that your character will now appear visibly wet in a rainy area. Well, in patch 2.16 we'll also be making it so when your character is in cold areas, you will be able to see your character's breath when they exhale.

I love stuff like this:

Hum..
It's a little hard to think of something since the rebuild. 'Not claiming things aren't as pretty, just I tended to be swept up by the scale of things in the original game and there aren't many places still quite do that. But that said.. I do still get that sort of feeling from a few places. Camp Overlook and Camp Bronzelake, with their view over the water and the Nymian ruins; the Sea of Clouds; and the view to the horizon from some parts of the Sagolii desert, for instance. Oh yes, and Verdant Drop / Larkscall. It's not quite so obvious or abrupt a realisation as it used to be, but the moment where you realise the ground isn't the actual forest floor.. .. gosh can you imagine what must be down where the actual bases of the heaven's pillars are?

What I love about Eorzea is how each every area of the game has so much detail. Their are so many little things and big things in the zones, towns, and dungeons that don't need to be there but by being there add so much life to the areas. A massive fallen tree laying on a massive stone slab over a small pond in the forest, an abandoned destroyed shack overlooking a cliff. Every time I go through an area I see little things that I had never noticed before and I think that's impressive. It's one of the things that truly makes the game look so beautiful.

theres to much to think so here what i like about the world in photos
Home Where the heart is.

The forests of Gridania, the desert of Thanalan, and the fields of La Noscea during the day. The music is a near-perfect complement to all visuals.

I recommend to everyone to take up a DoL class and you'll gain an appreciation for the visuals. Most people don't catch the nuances because they can only see as far as what their weapon is pointed at. Fishing was really enjoyable to level up and the logs and descriptions add a nice touch to it.
Personally, I think the Odin weather might be the best visual. The darkness that drowns out the colors. i'm not sure if it's ash that's falling, but it really sets a tone.

W-wait.... that isn't the forest floor??Oh yes, and Verdant Drop / Larkscall. It's not quite so obvious or abrupt a realisation as it used to be, but the moment where you realise the ground isn't the actual forest floor.. .. gosh can you imagine what must be down where the actual bases of the heaven's pillars are?
