New tomes in 2.2 Leviathin Weapons, I'm a little scared.

Nah you put work into your current gear so that you'd be ready to upgrade when they release new gear..

Your i90 gear helps you fight the next tier of raids to get the next tier of gear, this is how upgrading works in MMO's.

What they haven\\'t done is mention anything about the item level of the new weapons and tome gear or how it will compare to the new coil gear. This leaves a lot of questions.
Will Leviathan EX also drop these new tomes?
Will the new coil also drop these tomes?
Will these tomes give gear of the same ilevel as the new coil?
The two things that concern me are:
1. I thought T5 weapons were going to be the entry level weapons for Coil 6-9, now it\\'s looking like we\\'ll need to farm Leviathan weps instead.
2. If there\\'s only 1 dungeon with the new tomes. It\\'s going to be the new AK (before the WP buff, or 2.1) That\\'s going to get really boring really fast. Their solution to tome imbalances was 2.1, are we going to have another huge tome imbalance until 2.3?

They also said all of this will be covered in the next live letter...

If I had to guess I would say that the new tomes would probably drop from new coil, old coil, maybe CT, Pharos Sirius, Amdapor Township and all of the Hardmode dungeons.

Looking at how mythology worked and continues to work my guess is the new tomes won't be hard to get, they will probably just have a cap similar to mythology.

I'd believe more likely that the New Currency will drop from Coil (T1-5 and T6-9). Similar to how level 50 dungeons drop Philo and Myth (more Philo than Myth) I'd expect Coil will drop Myth and New Currency (with it dropping more Myth than New Currency). T6-9 will likely only drop New Currency. CT may drop some, but if it did, it'd probably be a small quantity (i.e. maybe 200 Philo, 50 Myth, 15 New Currency). I wouldn't bet on CT, though. It may also be that the new HM Dungeons (Brayflox and the other) will be iLvl 70+ (it's not a necessity that all the HMs are iLvl 50ish), meaning that they might be the dungeons you run for New Currency. I also wouldn't be surprised if Extreme Primals drop a bit, too (like 5-10 per Extreme Primal).

In the end, I imagine you'll do iLvl 50ish dungeons, CT, HM Primals and Dailies for Philo. While obtaining Philo, you'll be obtaining some Myth and then once geared enough, enter Coil, continue with CT, start Extremes and enter the new HM dungeons (Brayflox and the other) to gather more Myth and some of the New Currency. After gearing enough doing that, with you gaining some of the New Currency, you'll enter Coil T6-9 to continue gaining New Currency.
