Possibly moving to Sargatanas

Hi all,

My friends and I are looking to transfer from our current JP Legacy server to an NA/EU Legacy server and we're thinking of moving to Sargatanas. We have a couple of questions about the server that we're hoping you can help shed some light on before we make the move:

1. We're aware that Sargatanas is a NA Legacy server and not EU-focused but are there any GMT Linkshells/Free Companies present on the server? Our main reason for moving is primarily the language barrier but also the inactivity during GMT prime-time hours (5pm-11pm GMT).
2. Is the Party Finder used often by players on the server? Our current server sees approx. 5-10 groups available covering FATE's, Extreme Mode Primals, CT etc. but are usually advertising for JP only groups.

I'm sure I could think of more questions but I'll leave it at that for now.

Having just moved from the EU Legacy server Ragnarok over to this server, I can assure you that its alot more active, there seem to always be party finder groups going on, at its peak more than 20 at a time , as for linkshells/FC's I couldnt answer that for you. I know I just saw a post by Lewd Whispers on here which seem to be both an LS and FC, they seem to be international.

If you'd like one more option to consider, our FC (Lucky 7s) is a mix of EU and NA players. For 5-11 PM GMT we usually range from 8-16 people online depending how early it is in the week and how many people are locked out of content until the reset, lol.

The Party Finder ranges from 15-20+ listings, all English speaking. Sargatanas used to have a partial Japanese population, but after 2.0 it seems the vast majority have moved to other servers.

XD anyway... we are indeed an international FC, with people from Europe, it seems now mostly from england... or so it sounded like XD but we have mostly people from usa, so the peak times are from that side, I dont know what you aim to do, play more "casually", be "hardcore", looking for endgame people etc.... in any case we have all of those, dont know if it matters to you but currently the time for coil is set saturday 6pm gmt, but i am thinking of starting earlier and adding more days *friday and sunday as well*

if you are a newcomer to coil and such there is no problem also ;D last week we took a bunch of first timers to coil and did fairly well, got to the last phase of t4 and such.. with the average ilv of the group being in mid 70s... I would consider this a great success for people with no experience XD

but i am sure there are EU Based LS, if/when you transfer ask me about it and i will ask a friend to invite you to his.

but overall i think it might be a good transfer to this server in the end, if yours currently isnt the best for you and apparently ragnarok isnt that much active as well...

be warned on your latency .. not sure where your from but its shocking if your from aus or any where close to japan servers 290ms to the n/a servers 150 to the japan servers from aus

wtfast and such prorgams help alot :O

with that my latency droped from almost 300 to 150/190 something.... i am not on australia but.. i am not exactly close to the north america either XD i would say i have about the same latency as europeans have...

Thank you for the warning, I've already tested latency to the server during peak/off-peak times to make sure. I'm based in England and the latency to the JP server I'm currently on sits around 270ms average. The move to Sargatanas or any other NA/EU Legacy server would reduce that to approx 90ms, yet another major reason to move!
