While I'm not really concerned about my immersion, I think having stuff like the Behemoth mount and Garuda EX mount is pretty tacky. They just look stupid and scream "cash shop" to me.

Yeah, screw variety. My immersion is on the brink of being broken every time I see someone riding a beast from the world. It's impossible to tame beasts, except chocobos, those don't break immersion.

Behemor are great majestic beast. It should make for be rare change for get, not for be award for make pay to game of which you want for play anyways.

I think the term 'welfare' is used incorrectly here. Yes, there IS a welfare mount in the game, but it's not the behemoth mount. That mount is a reward for people who've supported the game with over $100 in subscription fees, just as the ahriman is a reward for half that in fees. It's not the coeurl or legacy chocobo, those are rewards for people who supported the rerelease and 1.0 respectively. No, it's the unicorn. Yes, the unicorn is a welfare mount intended to coax more people into leveling healers. It... sort of worked in that it got more people to level conjurer to 30 at least. Beyond 30... most only took it enough to get stoneskin. Is the reward mounts breaking the game? Hardly. What's breaking them game is the community, but that's a whole other can of worms.

I am pretty sure using the term welfare to refer to anything in a video game is using it incorrectly.

Video games to not really promote health and prosperity nor did the government give me a mount in a MMORPG.

I always thought it was strange that my character who is a cat, can ride a cat mount, and have a cat pet. Its like the strangest thing, but its so funny to me.
