Tank should help with the adds anyway.I encountered this attack for the first time yesterday when running with a DF group. I couldn't figure out why it was happening. Low DPS makes sense cause they had trouble taking down the ads and I had to help dps them all, even the first one she summons. It was definitely a run of firsts for me >_>At the very least, the second set with two adds. They can mess up your healer really fast with poorly timed void thunder III if dps don't interrupt. Or if you were healing, that can't hurt either if dps is low.
I've helped with the second set (taking one while the DPS killed one/lowered it's hp), and even with the Lady. But it was the first time I've been in a group that couldn't down the first ad by themselves. DPS were a bard and a dragoon. It was odd to me.

Really, the tank should be ready to stun/silence the stoneskin from the first add, because that just adds a lot of unnecessary hp to Halicarnassus, and they should grab the third add while the dps burn down the second. And of course they grab and help burn down Lady Amandine.
I love this dungeon. It's the go to place when I need mythology.
I've heard how many charms you get is dependent on how many npcs you saved at the beginning.
Save no npcs = she's going to do it almost right away = you're screwed.
No, that has nothing to do with it, my first run, we saved no NPC's, and she didn't do Fatal Allure(My mind keeps wanting to make it Fatal Attraction... HURRRR), in fact, I've never had her do it, mostly because I'm lucky with my groups and we kill her in 5m or less usually... But that's besides the point, it's a timed soft enrage.

As a tank, I've always naturally helped with the adds. Actually I think if you just rush the boss, the boss will eat the adds faster than if you do nothing and let time pass. It's just from a general feeling, though, I have not tested it.
My hypothesis is that the boss eats an add when any of the following is true:
- Add is at 0HP
- A set time has passed since the summon
- Boss HP drops to (or by) a certain %
I think the last point is why I often run into groups where the total dps was entirely adequate (from previous trash packs and bosses), yet they have trouble killing any of the adds---because they use AoE and maintain DoTs on the boss even while the adds are up. Using the BLM/SMN limit break to hit both the boss and the last add also seems like a bad idea to me, unless they use it to wipe out the add's last bit of health, in which case it's great play.
The fight is structured so that the tank would already have a solid enmity lead on the boss when adds appear. And it's only natural for a tank to want to grab the adds, too, anyway.

This is correct for the most part. I (as a WHM) was the only one who had experience in the dungeon prior. I figured we were gonna wipe anyway, as they could only get the adds down to 25-35% HP at MOST before they were eaten, so I was spamming medica II and medica like crazy to heal thru her AoE, but it was enough to barely limp thru the mobs. Given how slow the mobs were being killed, I just told the DRG to use LB on Amadine because I knew we weren't going to get anywhere with her. This is where it caught me by surprise though, as we didn't go thru the magical allure -> fire IV cycle that my other runs did. She used Fatal Allure on the Black Mage within seconds of Amadine being killed. Here's the odd thing though. After this wipe, we proceeded to try at least 1 more time before giving up. Fight was mostly the same, low DPS on mobs (still think the low iLevel requirement is kinda insane for the 2.1 instances), I'm working my ass off healing thru 2-2.5k rains to prevent a wipe, use melee LB on Amadine again...only this time she didn't do Fatal Allure. In fact, she went into the normal cycle of charming and fire IV cast 3 - 4 times before we killed her. Could she have done FA after all this? I can't say for sure, and I know the conditions on the 2nd run weren't EXACTLY the same (dps know when to expect mobs to pop so jumps on them a fraction sooner than before), but for the most part we were taking the same damage and the fight was progressing at roughly the same rate of time...so I have no clue why she FA'd so soon that one run. Hasn't happened at all since, so it may just be a bug caused it, of which I don't know how to re-create.I really doubt there's such a complex mechanic at work here. Like you think if throughput drops below 300 DPS she is more likely to to use Fatal Allure? I'm assuming in that run your team LB'd Lady Amadine? How was their progress on the other adds? I think it's safe to say if the adds are not wiping you then general DPS ought to be on track to meet whatever the enrage is, it would be consistent at least. It'd be weird if somehow you hit some sour spot of DPS being good enough to do the adds but not good enough to get her down without allure coming out.
I can understand the whole internal enrage timer on the fight, it does make the most sense of all theories here, but the problem is that our 2nd fight easily would have hit the same enrage period as the first fight (our DPS didn't magically get THAT much better in just 2 runs xD) and I never saw FA cast. I'm inclined to believe there has to be something else at play here. Maybe not as complex as a DPS parsing, but something is there working against players that has for now eluded us.
It's not just the last boss either, people are still debating over the exact conditions for what spawns the Steward in the first boss fight in Haukke HM. I've seen pretty much all the theories, from the "if 3 or more skeles are within the circle" to the "steward always spawns from 5-6th circle as an 'enrage'-like mechanic." The craziest one I've seen is that someone suggested the steward spawns if the party's overall HP is too high, so the healer has to actually keep the average HP around 75% to prevent him spawning. Don't ask me how he deduced that logic xD.
She's incredibly easy. I updated the wiki guide with a strat for her: http://ffxiv.consolegameswiki.com/wi...e_Manor_(Hard)
As for the Fatal Allure mechanic, I'm not 100% certain. This strat has always downed her before it happens.

It's sort of sad that the exact mechanics are not being figured out because people tend to zerg through the bosses instead of figuring out what causes what.
Knowing the mechanics would help lower geared people to increase their chances of actually clearing.
I know this applies to Pharos Sirius as well and I'm certain there are mechanics in Copperbell Mines Hard that haven't been figured out yet that would make the fights easier.
