I've only seen this happen a few times, and in all cases the party DPS was a bit on the low side, so I think that's the main contributing factor here. However, there also seems to be a factor that says how fast she will start doing it in the fight. In one case for me (not enough to call it proof), she used Fatal Allure immediately after Lady Amadine was killed. It was also the lowest DPS run I've ever had (both DPS had sub-50 weapons). There may be an internal "parser"-like control where the lower your overall DPS on her is, the faster she uses Fatal Allure in the fight.

If (and this is a strong 'if') this is true, this fight is more of a DPS check than we originally thought. This also means SE should seriously look at the minimum iLevel requirement.

If she randomly does it, it might be a % thing. Like a 5% chance after a charm. 10% chance after two charms, and so on.

I really doubt there's such a complex mechanic at work here. Like you think if throughput drops below 300 DPS she is more likely to to use Fatal Allure? I'm assuming in that run your team LB'd Lady Amadine? How was their progress on the other adds? I think it's safe to say if the adds are not wiping you then general DPS ought to be on track to meet whatever the enrage is, it would be consistent at least. It'd be weird if somehow you hit some sour spot of DPS being good enough to do the adds but not good enough to get her down without allure coming out.

This would be a pretty crazy way to do the fight, but at this point it's either some overall enrage timer or some crazy mechanic like you described above. Maybe I'll try to get some people to run it with me and just wait her out to see if she just throws out Fatal Allure at full health.

Our party consisted of a +1 Relic DRG with all DL and 2 myth, SMN w/Ifrit's Codex and about 3 or 4 DL pieces, WHM with CT and DL gear, and PLD with all DL and Garuda Weapon. Lowest geared was the summoner.
She usually used the allure after the 3rd Beguile.

You tested this? It really makes the most sense out of anything, I guess maybe all her babbling about how she thirsts might be clues to this?

One of my FC mates who actually likes the zone *shudder* timed it out in a group he was in that was failing to it repeatedly one day and said it was exactly six minutes after engage that she started eating people every time. I haven't timed it myself, but I trust him.

Works for me. It's always less than 6 mins for my groups to kill her, so can't contest it.

I like the zone too. I'll run that over WP anyday.

If it drags out that long in a normal fight against Halicarnassus, the dps IS too low...
Nice to know the timeout though. Knowing that I can as healer leave a sacrifice in case she's low enough that she'd go down within reasonable time after the enrage.
If she's at 25% like the OP stated, it's not worth it though. Better to wipe and see what can be done to improve the situation.

I encountered this attack for the first time yesterday when running with a DF group. I couldn't figure out why it was happening. Low DPS makes sense cause they had trouble taking down the ads and I had to help dps them all, even the first one she summons. It was definitely a run of firsts for me >_>
