I second the time attack suggestion, that sounds absolutely amazingChanged:
Implement a Time Attack mode for all dungeons (i.e. Cutter's Cry, the Aurum Vale, etc). This mode would actually make use of a timer, but instead of the current limit, instead you would start the dungeon with very little time on the clock (around five minutes to start). Killing mobs would extend your timer slightly. Killing bosses would extend it even further. Best times for completion could be posted to a leaderboard on the Lodestone. Time Attack dungeons would not drop normal loot and would Level Sync you down to a specific item level to prevent over-gearing the encounters. Completing a Time Attack dungeon would give you special tokens based on your score at the end which could be used to purchase unique items not obtainable anywhere else, including vanity items.![]()

Mystic Knight, as promised in 1.0. Only don't make it a DD - Give it a spin, make it a tanking class, and watch all of the lack of tank problems vanish simply from people picking it up because it's new and shiny.
Edit: Potentially, Rune Knight as a class which branches into two jobs, Mystic Knight (tank) and Spell Fencer (DD). Win win.

I would like to see more "general" abilities added that we can earn and share over multiple classes. Seems with the job system, even though we can share abilities with other classes, that the abilities we can share are useless or watered down version of the full ability. If I am a 50 WAR and I unlock the ability to make Bloodbath last longer, or if I unlock "blind" when I flash enemies with PLD, why then do I not get the full effect of these abilities when I share with other classes? Why can't I have useful abilities I can share with other classes? Why can I use "cure" as a BLM, but cure for only 2HP and not a decent viable amount? Why can I have "raise" as a marauder, but never have enough MP to cast it?
"There's a time when a man needs to fight, and a time when he needs to accept that his destiny is lost, that the ship has sailed, and that only a fool would continue. The truth is, I've always been a fool."

Addition of Sky or Sea like open world content.

The reason for that is simply because abilities that can be used cross class are more effective on their main class due to the fact the native class gains traits specifically there to boost that ablity's effectiveness. It's why Protect is stronger when cast by CNJ/WHM (due to Proshell), why Stoneskin works better when cast by CNJ/WHM (Graniteskin), why Flash works better when used with GLA/PLD (Improved Flash), etc etc.I would like to see more "general" abilities added that we can earn and share over multiple classes. Healing spells like Cure are a little more complex though - curing potency is based around MND, and as most classes don't have native MND boosts, hence the spell is rather ineffective on any class other than CNJ/WHM (not to mention the MND and Cure potency boosting traits CNJ gets anyway).
You can't use traits cross class so hence abilities become more gimp when they're cross classed. 1.0's original launch actually had all abilities being able to be used cross class with virtually no noticible penalty for doing so - players didn't like that though and wanted classes to be more unique and thus the end result is the system we now have. I guess you can't have your cake and eat it too.

I wish they would remove completely the stat point allocation system (which is totally useless since every job stacks points in only one stat anyway) and put in its place a system that actually gives more personalization to your jobs and skills, like a trait management system for example.
