In this particular case, considering the newest patch specifically removed the in progress indication to inhibit this exact behaviour: yes, it wasn't intended. You're plainly wrong in this case, so stop arguing to the contrary.

That is speculation as SE removed the progress indication due to the constant complaints of crybabies. We do not know the actual intent as you yourself have already stated, "the newest patch" changed everything.

If that is true how come I still cannot place new seasonal/event gear in my armoire? The "constant complaint of crybabies" about that has been going on a lot longer than LotA has been in the game.

That has nothing to do with the thread and SE has addressed that issue by stating that they will look into increasing what gear that can be stored in the armoire.

It does have something to do with the thread. It is more than just so-called "crybabies." If there was ZERO abuse (I dunno how someone can abuse not being able to put something in armoire) then SE would have changed the In Progress window about as fast as they will release new seasonal/event gear that can immediately be put in the armoire instead of always a few patches later. SE saw that there was valid abuse going on. If they intended for it to be used like that, they would have kept it the way it was.
People wanting to put stuff in armoire as soon as the stuff gets put in game. No abuse going on. No fix yet in game. People want a stop to the constant withdrawns, SE sees the abuse that goes on, SE changes it. That was my point, having something to do with this thread.
